    Default Weird 2600 Find...

I pulled a friend of mine's father's Sears-branded 2600 out to see if it worked, and inside the box was a bag full of memory chips. Well, of course I asked what they were, and apparently my friend's uncle worked for Atari for a while, near the release of the 2600 and scored brand-new, never soldered chips containing games, and included instructions on how to use them.

My friend's dad never tried to use them, and they are very clean, and the stampings are readable. I recognized some as Activision games, but some were news to me. Any idea on how easy it is to get this kind of thing? There are about 100, I'd say...

Also, anyone know how to figure out which game is on each chip by the chip alone? Thanks in advance...

    Default chip

Yeah, there are a number of these sets that were sold (anyone have any idea where?) because they pop up now and again with ZIP socket carts. I have a set that I found locally as well- all released games. Of course, if you had something unreleased it would be interesting. It's tough to figure out what you've got without screenshots to the mystery games...
