It is the PAL version, which is much more common and less valuable than the NTSC version.

What does PAL mean? It looks like a normal NES game to me. Will it not play on the Nes.
"...I felt raised, I felt LIFTED".
I saw that too...is it worth less than the US version?
PAL pertains to the type of TV signal they work with...All US Games are NTSC and Europe is PAL. A PAL game usually won't work on a US TV, and visa versa. The PAL version of Stadium Events was made in a much larger number than the NTSC version. Thus the PAL version is much cheaper and easier to find.
That's not quite right. PAL consoles are a pain to play on a NTSC TV, but the majority of older PAL games are not optimised for a 50Hz display (thus looking 'squashed up' and slower on a PAL console/TV) so, if used on an appropriately modified US machine, will usually display correctly (save the odd minor glitch).Originally Posted by udisi
In the case of the NES, I believe that simply cutting one pin on one of the chips will let PAL games play on a US console (it works the other way around, anyway).
