Any news on the rarity lists. I can't wait to see it finished and print it =D
What you guys think? I think PS1 will stop being supported after this year E3.
Major support is all but gone for the system, however the really small publishers are now into the groove, cause well its so cheap to push a game... XS, Take2 Interactive, and a few others are still pushing crud out... and they will till the PSOne officially goes out of production, which hasnt happened yet.
Well, any news on a newer "version" of the .pdf file?
www.ebgames.com has these games on their Coming Soon Releases:
Dates shown are ship dates
CT Special Forces 3/15
CT Special Forces 2 3/15
MLB 2005 3/16
Cat in the Hat 3/16
As new releases it has:
Qix Neo
www.walmart.com has other games not listed like:
- Robo-Pit 2
- Neopets: The Darkest Faerie
Check those sites. Might have some missing stuff of the rarity list
Hey Johnny,
I do have an updated pdf, but I need to get my webspace expanded so I have enough room to post it. We've added a lot more cover variations, I think we've got all the Lightspan titles and alternate packagings. I'm 99.9% we have every game that came out, though, and I've run through the rarity and pricing quite a few times, so it should be fairly accurate.
As for the titles you mention, I think Robo Pit 2 has been released, but I'm waiting until I see proof before including it. Neopets is defiinitely not released yet.
Well depending on how big the file is, i can host it on my shitty geocities site
Anyway, for you guys are easy to see if the games are released or not. Here in Brazil game stores are now only selling PS2, XBOX, Gamecube, so i can't help much on the PS1. So i try to check the websites to find some new stuff. All the games i buy are used (mint) in brazilian message boards/stores or by ebay.
I'm really looking forward to a complete Playstation Game List, when the support for it comes to an end.
PS: By the way, there are some Lightspan discs at ebay, worth checking out since there's even a demonstration disc
http://search.ebay.com/search/search...uery=Lightspan
I'm attempting to go the official route ot get the Lightspan stuff, Im waiting on the catalog from LS to see the cost and all that good stuff. A few days ago someone jumped and snatched like 30 or so LS titles all from the same seller for like 5 apiece... i was gonna go after them. but im wating on this list from them.
Havnt checked out the Alternate covers that youve got published, does that mean i cant download the pdf right now Kevin? NM just tried to Dl it, and can see that its not on the site....
Did you get the Alternate cover to Bubsy 3D? The Gold X Award Version? Its a true variant, in the fact that the Disc color is a little different (it went from a Solid Blue,to a Shiny Blue) and the font and sizing are different and a quote on the back of the cover is completely different..
Damn i need a digital camera.....
*runs to his collection and checks...*
Yay! I have the variant Bubsy...now I need to find the original one?!
Ugh.
Jason
Yup, I have both the Bubsy variation and the Lightspan demonstration disc. I should have the pdf back up on my site relatively soon.
Man, did ebay fuck up the category searches in videogames or what? It's damn impossible to find what you're looking for anymore. What were they thinking?
I havn't noticed, because i usually search out a title specifically. Though i can say that im happy that they went back to the older home page, instead of that 1. Search 2. Bid 3. whatever, thing (or at least thats how it appears now on my Mac Browser)
So should i start going after all the variant covers? as well as the Long/jewel case variants? Ive got a couple of each, wondering how indepth i should collect for this thing. Im also thinking hard about a GH collection, and trying to compile those too. Thoughts, rude comments, pleads for sanity???
My friend's dad used to work for lightspan, so I managed to get a good amount of lightspan games from him for free, all in this little holding box thingy. Maybe you can add some of these titles to your list (I couldn't access the pdf so if they're already on there, sorry)

Not a bad deal for free, eh?
Chris,
Not a bad haul for free. I already have all of those titles listed, but thanks for the help!
You'll have to excuse me, the first link in the thread for me is dead for me. I checked the DP rarity guide for PSX, and can't find Qix Neo on there. It was supposed to come out way back in Q2 of 2003, but only finally was released around Christmas. I haven't seen it in stores, but places like Amazon.com and Buy.com have carried it.
Also, speaking of the "Fighter's Edge" versions of Capcom's games. Again, forgive me if I've missed anything, but there is an alternate Fighter's Edge version of "Star Gladiator" available. I've got both versions here. The FE editon has a cropped version of the original cover, only the image is flipped around for some reason. And both of the back covers have a different layout, design and text.
On a side note... I too have a copy of Blockids. Picked it up at CompUSA last year for $10. They had one copy in stock. Haven't seen it since.

To my knowledge the only Variant to Star Gladiator is the FE version ( though i need to find an extra regular edition, because the one that i got recently has a bad instruction manual.) Also, Kevins list does include the FE variations...
Oh well. Thanks for the info.
I saw this was posted... I'm also curious about the "Fighter's Edge" cover variants - I've listed a few games that have both regular covers and "Fighter's Edge" covers in their jewel case release. Are there any others that fit this pattern? ... so figured I should mention it anyway.
Its all good... Were all up for finding them variant covers... As some people are close to complete PSOne NTSC/U libraries ::cough:: Dangerboy, 40 games to go ::cough:: and they are gonna need to find some reason to continue to hunt for PSOne stuff
I wonder... do the "completist" collectors seek out Demo Discs and Jampacks and PS Underground and mail-away demos as well?
Spooie: Some people do. I don't kow if I will or not. Except maybe for the demo that had Metal SLug original on it.
Jason
Ah yes... my brother has the underground disc with the original Metal Slug on it. Too bad that one never came out here.
Titan AE also had a demo and wasn't released; I think I was told that there's a demo disc with the "missing Madden" on it as well, and there's definitely a PS Underground disc with Net Yaroze games. My pdf does list demo discs, as well as Star Gladiator having a normal and an FE cover, as spooie mentioned. Spooie - throw me an IM at zkman01 and I'll IM you the pdf; they're supposed to bump up my webspace soon and I'll reload the file then.
