Other than BYOAC website, is there another message board around for arcade specific talk/questions?
And while I'm on the topic
Apparently, my SI-327 27" Arcade monitor has a voltage regulation issue, and the recommended repair for this seems to be checking and/or replacing three transistors (Q601, Q602, and Q603 for my specific board)
I've done a cap kit, but those parts were easy to come by, locate, and replace. I can't even tell what the damn transistors ARE (I can't read electronics schematics at all) I see Q601, Q602, and Q603. One of them looks like a standard black half circle, the other APPEARS to be a standard inline? transistor. The third one, Q602 LOOKS like a capacitor that's about 1 inch high and 1 inch around.
But, in all three places, there's a ton of other crap there as well, so I could just be looking at the wrong parts.
The SI-327 Manual lists the following:
Ref No. / Part No. / Description
Q601 / S2N-306 / 2SC3306Y Transistor
Q602 / S2N-091 / 2SC1091Y Transistor
Q603 / S2N-619 / 2SC2610Y Transistor
If I could just get those three transistors ordered, I'm sure I could just swap them out, but is that what I SHOULD do, or should I try to find a TV repair shop around somewhere so they can properly test the voltage and see if that's really the problem?
