I don't know what a Bung Doctor is, but I know what it sounds like....

he probably meant "Doctor V64" som bung inc.. hk.. has a small ps2 style connector plug i think the voltages needed where 5,12V and ground.. the orginal adaptor is worldvide compatible... if im not misstaken the V64 has like 1-2 chips only on a small 10x10 board so if you open it up youll probably se the level converters and can figgure the rest out for yourself.
    Broken? fix it.

Ok here's what I found out.

You can use a common computer power supply. You have to connect the 5volt and 12volt to the V64.
Since it uses a special 4 pin din plug this would require finding an adapter of sorts or soldering to the main board.

Not wantin to hack my V64 I searched the internet and found a Hong Kong company that sold me a power supply for $70 shipped.

A lot , I know but worth it for me.

Aaarrrrgggghhhhh , Now you tell me......

Oh well , I guess having the original is better, in case I ever want to sell it.

And it might have been safer, I might have got the 5v and 12v lines mixed up.
