Default Please HELP! Water damage to fair part of collection!!

Water started leaking from the feet of snow piled on the roof of my apartment into the bookshelf built into the wall and soaked the bottom of about 40 - 60 of my SMS games!! Please let me know what to do, Ive started putting the most valuable inserts between books -- is this the best way to go? Id appreciate any help, thank you.

That sucks! I would say so. Just make sure you keep them in between books until they are fully dried. If not they will rip and be wavy

One thing that couldn't hurt either would be to put the flattened out inserts bewteen a sheet (or two) and then iron them out... might not help if they are TOO waterlogged and wavey tho...

And ouch man, I feel your pain, especially SMS games...
I remember when the basement flooded and about 300 of my comics adopted a new "wrinkle feature" on all their bottoms...

My stupid advice is don't panic. Yeah, that's gay advice so ignore it.

I thought I was the only one whom had this problem. It was nearly devastating when my basement flooded, so you have my empathy.

I used a hairdryer to "repair" some game inserts that got soaked. When they dried they seemed to be just as good as they would get if they had dried naturally.
