Here in Georgia, all the EBgames put a round sticker on used game CDs that are still in the case... I'm talking PSone and Dreamcast titles, not games that come in a DVD box (they put stickers on those, too, but the trick won't work on DVD cases.) The sticker goes on the front where the case opens, over the end, and onto the back. If you don't break the seal, you can bring the game back for a full refund. If you break it, you can only exchange it for the same title. The stickers are a bitch to take off and always leave residue.
The moron factor... its super-duper easy to open a regular CD case from the other side... just pull the tabs apart gently and fold it out the other way. You could play your games for days, seal it back up, copy it if you were into that sort of thing, and take it right on back for a full refund.
How stupid is this?
The REALLY stupid part of this situation is that it took me almost A WHOLE YEAR to figure this out. I am even dumber than the policy. I have bought dozens... maybe hundreds of cheap PSone titles in the past year and scraped those damn stickers off each and every one of them (I don't ever return games.) Pulling the CD case apart makes removing the sticker so easy it's not funny.
Just goes to show that a even a moron can go to college and get a good job.
