Far East of Eden Zero the largest snes game at 9 Mb? Umm no.
<Evan_G> i keep my games in an inaccessable crate where i can't play them
Then, according to Gamespot, I must be weird (or whatever): You say SNK, I don't think Neo Geo or even all these fighting games. Nope. I thinik Baseball Stars. The best baseball game released on the NES!
no, no way, FeoEZ is 40 Mbit, Star Ocean is 48Mbit and Tales of Phantasia is also 48MbitOriginally Posted by Evan

I found the article to be very informative, and full of great stuff..
One can always find a flaw in any article of this length, but that's not the point. The point is that someone actually went out of their way to put something like this together for many to enjoy.
If you really have a problem with what's written there, why not e-mail the writer and ask him to correct it???
Dang, they blew their chance to mention that Athena was one of the first games to feature a full length vocal soundtrack.
Oh well. Nice article, as usual, but I don't think your average game player remembers the Neo Geo AES...most game players have joined the hobby since the original SNES, Genesis, and a lot have joined since the PlayStation (probably most). If anything, though, people would remember those huge cherry red arcade cabs.
Well, when I think of SNK, I DO think of the Neo-Geo and the Pocket Color. But I also remember them and know them for the NES games like Crystalis, POW, and the Ikarai Warrior triliogy.

As a noobie AES owner, I found it a great history refresher. Now I have a better understanding of where they came from, and what SNK Playmore is- it's SNK! yay!
And to celebrate, I went to NeoStore and bought (likely the one and only 'new' I'll ever buy) myself a 'real' game. I only own Nam 75, Baseball Stars pro Blue's Journey and Trash Rally.
I bought a debug kit, and KOF 2002, after much agonizing. Seems the best price versus 'play quality' option for me. I wanted at least one "new" game for myself, and that seemed like a good choice.
I'm getting a Phantom-1 from Nexwave soon, and shall go the used MVS route for the bulk of my playing.
It just seems to me, that since the NEO is the longest supported home console in history, with new games STILL coming out for it, that I should snag one of them. I need something to look nice, once the shelf starts filling with ugly MVS carts.

Hey butta, edumacate me a bit!
I can see that the brown ones are obviously MVS, but are any of the coloured ones MVS? Do any MVS come in snazzy cases, or are they MVS in AES cases?
I'd go read at the NEo-geo.com forums, but my IP is banned, and Shawn won't respond to my e-mails.

Butta made the labels himself...MVS games don't normally come in such admittedly pleasant cases.
Why did you get banned there?Originally Posted by omnedon
Anyways, the carts are in shock boxes, usually sell for around 6 bucks a piece, BIG BEAR over at the neo forums has them for sale, but I think he's almost out. Then there are multiple places on the net to find inserts to print out for these shock boxes.

The ones in the brown boxes are full kits (flyers, stickers, mini marquee, dip sheet)
I've never posted there, so I have no clue what I could have ever possibly done to get banned. Since the admin won't answer my e-mails, I guess I'm 'out".

When i changed servers, i accidently put the wrong suffix on my new email address when i was updating my info at N-G.com, and it took about 1 year to get it all worked out with Shawn. He's a pretty busy guy. I got very few email responses from that site, most of which "couldn't really help me". Be patient, and dont waste any time emailing anyone but Shawn, that's just wasting time.
