Because that's important and not necessarily a moment. A moment (IMO) is something happening during a game that really stands out for one reason or another. Samus removing her mask in Metroid was memorable, because it was unexpected. The Opera Scene was unexpected. Psychomantis' Rant was unexpected. Unless there was something in Mario 64 that was unexpected (and the fact that the game is 3D doesn't count) then it doesn't belong. IMO.
