-: It's gonna be EA, but honestly I didn't hear anything too bad about the other EA Goldeneye Bonds. On the other hand, the original Rare team has scattered in the four directions (I think none went down or are astronauts, so only four) so you can count on the neat touches from the original being absent. Hopefully not, but I'd be very surprised if anything remarkable shows up.

This looks like it's going to be Goldeneye in name alone, but I'm willing to be impressed. As they say, you coulda knocked me over with a feather.

From everything I've heard, Everything or Nothing kicks ass. Goldeneye 2 has a hell of a namesake to live up to, or to even live up to Everything or Nothing.

I'm approaching this with the utmost skepticism.

One thing that I hadn't thought about but was mentioned is that Goldeneye is a fast game, whereas 3rd person games...typically aren't. Can't say that'll hold true here, but it's a thought.

EA is publishing TimeSplitters 3, right? Why don't they wait until the guys from Free Radical are available, and then tap them to do Goldeneye 2? I mean, isn't Free Radical the CORE of the original Goldeneye dev team?

I guarantee if they did that, they'd sell a shitload of games.

If they don't they run the risk of aggravating a lot of folks.

Ever since I read the new about EA doing goldeneye I have had the feeling that it could turn out to be another hybrid game like the recent ones wich isnt necassarily a bad thing its just that they should pay Free Radical to do a TRUE sequel. maybe then it would keep the "feel" of the original N64 classic.
Overall im not convinced that EA can do live up to the legacy that RARE created but you never know.

I am looking forward to goldeneye 2. I hope everyone knows that you play the role of the bad guys AGAINST Bond, you don't play as bond. So I am curious as to how that's going to go?
I know I will purchase the game, just am defiantely anxious as too how well it will turn out!
