Well. Where do you get the nes and snes roms from? I had them on my pc before but then it crashed and all was gone. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :-)

    Default Aliens Vs. Predator

I would really appreciate it if someone could post a link to a site with a working Aliens Vs. Predator (Arcade Version) Rom, or just email it to CReed9999@AOL.com.

I can't find the stupid thing anywhere

    Default Amiga and X68000 ROMs

Amiga ROMs aren't too tough to find, but I'd like a complete set of them. Games for the X68000 are much harder to locate... it's a Japanese computer and the birthplace of Castlevania Chronicles, which was later ported to the Playstation. It's an amazing system considering its age... I just wish I could convince Joe to carry an X68K emulator and some ROMs.

Hey I could be easily convinced, but I haven't been able to get the emulator to work yet. I kinda like to be able to recommend and assist and not just dump ROMs on the site - though I suppose I could do that for the X68000, with a disclaimer (?)

Nah, don't do that. I don't want you putting the emulator on the site if it doesn't get your seal of approval. I'll experiment a little with the files I've got at home and see what I can do to make them easier to use. What problems are you having, exactly? I believe you said you had difficulties with joystick and sound support the last time we talked about the emulator.

Um, no - I can't even get a game to start! It boots up but then nothing seems to get it to "go". Maybe that's the controller issues you speak of.

    Default X68000

I had games running a long while back...before my HD crash. Give me some time and I'll recommend an emulator and give some insight as to running it. And I'll have to hunt down some game images as well.

I downloaded a couple emulators and roms for snes and nes and my harddrive crashed soon after. Anyone else have this problem before?

I've had plenty of hard drive crashes but none that I could directly attribute to an emulator.

First off, if anyone's looking for ROMs, a great place to go is planetemu.net. It's French, but it's very easy to find everything you need. There's also an extensive collection of arcade games, including Aliens Vs. Predator. The only catch is that you can download only one ROM every four or five minutes (there's a timer).

After that, I'd still suggest edgeemu.com. They recently had problems with losing their HD after switching servers, but they seem to have a lot of the games back. A lot of stuff for consoles and portables (yes, everything for Lynx can be had here) and computers and whatnot. The only issue is the pop-up ads, but it's not nearly as bad as so many other websites. And, it must be said, downloads are quite fast.

The problem, of course, is that ROM files on the emu sites get shut down fairly quickly, and it's getting more difficult for someone to find what they want if they're beginning an emulation collection. And after emuchina.net had to shut its ROMs down, I almost cried.

Oh, well. To answer Joe's questions, I'm pretty good, although I can't seem to get Area 51 and Maximum Force (two underrated shooters, btw) to work on mame .62; I don't think I have all the files. Oddly, the same thing happened with Tron and Disks of Tron.

I never received a response to this inquiry previously so I'll give it one more shot. Has anyone ever seen ROMS for the Fairchild Channel F (other than 1, 2, 4 and 6?) Does anyone know any of the history behind who dumped these four? Did he stop at four because all the games suck? I'm curious as an historian more than anything.

    thanks

I have done alot of searching on this one. Looks as if only those 4 games were dumped, and the BIOS for the system of course. If I find out any other info I'll be sure to let you know!

I cannot find any Coleco ADAM software anywhere on the net. They should be in ADAM .dsk format. Has anyone seen ADAM software for download anywhere ever? Please help. I'm not looking for an ADAM emulator or the DK jr "Adam ver." ROM.

By the way, Mame.dk works for Mame roms...but you need to login first.

The link has been removed because the game is too too new...real or not.

I currently have 3700+ roms for SNES (5 CDs total) and I'd like to exchange this with someone who has full sets of NES and Genesis, a full sets means all the hacked roms, and foreign games (Japan, Europe, Latin America). I know there're close to 8000 NES and close to 3000 for Genesis/32X, PM me if anyone has either NES or Genny.

I know you can get them all in planetemu.net but it's just way too time consuming, and edgeemu has reduced the number of roms drasticly and only lets you download 2 roms simultaneously. Also available for exchange if you have full NES or Genny, a complete set of NeorageX roms, 142 to be exact, no repeat titles on 3 CDs.
