    Default PSX Gameshark troubles

The other day I was trying to use the PS2 Gameshark PSX disc for Lunar EBC...but they didn't have the codes I wanted to use and since it's on cd, no way to enter in the ones I wanted to use. So I hooked my PSX back up and stuck the PSX Gameshark up to do what I wanted to do and it never kicked in. No GS opening screen at all, just loaded to the Sony and PSX copyright screens and loaded the game! Did that for a few different PSX titles and same results.

Anyone have this same issue or have any ideas on it?
(Don't remember offhand which PSX GS I have- may be the latest and the PSX is one the 1st gen- but it always worked before!)

Anyone know if it's possible to fix bad connectors in a PSX gameshark?

I read about people having problems with their Game Sharks frequently but I use a cheapie $5-$10 EMS copy and have no problems. Try ditching that one and just get a cheap $5 one off the net. Sometimes they'll never work right because of all the different software and board revisions. Good Luck.

I dig you gamers who are bold enough to experiment with those cheat devices, I've always used in game cheats throughout my gaming career, never touched the genies or sharks, I;m afraid that using those devices is like putting your system on steroids, they are cool devices regardless, and one feature that has always caught my eye is the shark's ability to allow the playing of import titles, so in closing, game on!
