Default Question about Ms Pacman On Namco Museum (GBA)

I noticed on CAG that CC has this game for $10 shipped right now. I was wondering if someone who has played it could tell me whether the Ms. Pacman is the 'fast' version, or the slow one. I've become totally spoiled on the fast setting, to the point that I'm not even interested in getting the game if they only have the slow version. Thanks in advance.

I'm a big fan of "Super" Ms. Pacman myself. That's too bad that this version isn't there.

Maybe there's a GameShark code that would crank up the game's speed...?

Some people are geniunely offended by the turbo versions of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man. Personally, I think the games are boring without the speed boost.

Ditto. Count me among them. I can play Pac-Man at normal speed, but Ms. Pac isn't fun without the speed rush. You'd think there would be an option to change the speed, considering that the game is itself a hack. The greatest hack every made, I might add.

I only wish there were more Pac-Man games on these compilation carts. Where's Jr. when he's needed most?

I'm just holding out for GBA ports of Pac-Land and Baby Pac-Man. Heh.

The only reason I like speed Ms Pac is because I can score 400,000 points
every time. Its just too easy The normal version is much more challenging.

400k? That's actually real good even on a sped up machine. Are you playing the one on the Namco Galaga/MsPacman combo? That one seems to score much easier....

I know in the original Mspacman, once you get up to about a score of 150k, you should be close to the point where the ghosts don't turn blue, so your only source of points are the dots and the fruits you eat.

The problem is you don't have consistent high scoring fruits! So it all of a sudden becomes a lot harder to score high because you can easily get boards where you only get a cherry and a strawberry for example, so that plus the points of the dots mean you only get a piddly ~2000 or so points for one whole board. (Unlike in Pacman where you're guaranteed to get 10,000 points when you eat both keys) You can get lucky and get a couple of 5000 point bananas, but you can just as easily go many boards without seeing even one. So in other words, it takes a much LONGER time to score another 100k after your first 150k it seems.

So if you can score 400k, my hats off to you!
