    Default Mad Katz Retrocon...

Want an excellent controller for emulation? Look into the Mad Katz Retrocon PSX/PS2 controller. It's sort of like a NES style controller, but with all of the playstation buttons, analog controllers, and vibration function. SInce I purchased one of Sylentwulf's Playstation to PC adapters awhile back, I decided to grab this controller. It is AWESOME! I don't know what it is, but I felt right at home with it instantly....even moreso than the original controllers. Perhaps all of those years playing NES did it. I really love this controller. I think I must buy myself a second one!

    More on the RetroCON:

I went back to EB Games tonight and luckily found one more (last one) and quickly snatched it up. Not the same color as the first one I purchased (1st was blue, this one is grey) but who cares. I am completely in love with this controller, and at $19.99 it really is a bargain. Try playing NES, SMS or TG16 emulation with it...freakin great. Not to mention just about everything else. But, I have this bad feeling that Mad Katz will stop producing of these pretty soon as I don't see a real demand for them in this day and age. Get one while you can!

I walked in to EBGames 2 weeks ago and they had a Brand New looking Used one in the contoller bin for $4.99.

It's the blue one. I like it and use it for my Pc Emulators now.

I managed to find one and was quite happy that I didn't find two. I was remotely impressed, mainly with it's beauty. Other than that, it was a disappointment. From what I remember, the buttons were just too small, the sticks were cheap and in the way and the buttons just didn't hit the spot. However, I'm not a big fan of the playstation controller in the first place. Come to think of it, I can't stand any of the next gen controllers It does look nice and when I pull out IMBnes, i usually plug in the retrocon for a little bit of the feel. Maybe I'll have to give it a few more goes to see how it goes
