I vote for...the FM Towns Marty, with the PC-FX and X-Box as a close tie for second!
Seriously though, I've never even HEARD of the Microvision...what IS it?

It's a pretty good system. Out of the few carts I have, I'm especially fond of the Connect Four cart. But as time goes on, the systems are starting to become faulty. Not to mention all the fingernails that seem to go through the 'cartridge's.'
The page from Phoenix, which contains information on the Microvision (and the Atari Cosmos), can be found here:Originally Posted by maxlords

My vote for the best hand-held is the Gameboy Color.

Phoenix 4 coming in 2014
Gameboy advance or the original
I'd vote Nomad. The vast majority of GB and GBC games are terrible. Granted that there are a lot of bad Genesis games as well, but bad Genesis game are a hell of a lot better than bad GB games when it comes to quality.
I never did understand why Nomad didn't take off when it was competeing against such a weak Gameboy lineup. The thing needs a lot of power, sure, but if you're in the car, use a car adaptor, if you're in your house, use an a/c, and if for some reason you're playing a handheld outside or something, use rechargeables. It's power needs aren't all that bad when there are so many alternatives.
And why the hell aren't there more Game Gear fans on this board? There are a ton of SMS people on here, why so little interest in a handheld SMS?? I personally think that the GG library beats the hell out of the U.S. SMS library. Is that just me?

I'd say the Game boy/Color myself. Sure the early titles were terrible but it had considerable buying power and was easily able to be brought anywhere and played by anyone.
Especially since it brought Tetris to everyone.

i prefer the gbc as well.
I was never much into handhelds but I'd say the best ever or for me the coolest was the TurboExpress. The GBA is the most powerful but not the best IMOP.
Any chance on making an actual poll for best handheld here or in a ne wpost?

I'd say there should be a post for best DEDICATED handheld.. but then again there's probably not going to be too many here who'd be able to make an informed choice regarding that..unless they had some kind of huge collection
Huh? Microvision? I own one, but my Game Wizard has more games. Who can resist the cheaply made LCD good-ness of a Game Wizard?
