I'm officially stoked for this one.
Crazy new mini games (including a DDR! type game), 2 fatalities per character, some familiar old faces (dig Baraka, below) and arena fatality triggers? Sounds too cool for school.

I'm looking forward to this one as well, it looks like what MKA should have been in the first place
Are they still refraining from releasing it on GCN? Since I have an XBox now, I don't have to worry
Have you seen the videos yet?
feitctaj !
Didn't Baraka died? I would definately get this one. I like Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and this game seems simialr to it. About the DDR..mini game!?...I'm a bit confused on that. You gotta make them step on arrows?
I like how that one guys spike is going through the other guy's leg.
nice job on the colission.....NOT!
I'm assuming that this game is not 100% done, so I think they will fix that problem.
That part was just a joke. You didn't catch the phony screenshot that was making the rounds as part of the April Fool's Day pranking? It had the life meters atop a fake pic of Kombatants on DDR machines.Originally Posted by NeoVenom
But Deception looks amazing. My only gripe with Deadly Alliance was that the fatalties were lame-o-rama, but it sounds like they've addressed that issue big time.

Yeah...and also having one fatality each wasn't that great in Deadly Alliance. Hopefully they will fix up on that.
I was dissapointed with DA, but the fatalities were great! Scorpions is really unforgettable.
I'm hoping the combo system is tweaked and bit more accesible to everyone. It was extremely complicated and hard to pull off the big ones for me without hours of training.
Once you get the hang of the combos, it gets easy, but yeah...hopefully they will improve on the whole combo system. I liked Sub-Zero's fatality, too bad he didn't had the classic one. The one where he rips the guy/girl's head along with their spine.
I kind of wish it would just die. Baraka was cool though. I dunno - I'll rent it, but I don't have high hopes.

I may be alone in thinking this, but I think MK: DA is the best Kombat ever, and I'm even counting MK2 here! I loved the changes they made to the fighting engine, making it less cheap and a bit more based on actual skill. The three different fighting styles for each character is also a plus. And I thought the fatalities were cool... even though each character had one, they were much more violent than any fatality I could ever imagine. The addition of the Krypt didn't hurt either...
I'm not sure if Deception could match up to DA, but from the looks of it, it has potential, and lots of it! I imagine the fighting mechanics will be the same, only with improvements here and there. Many of the MK veterans return with all new outfits. I believe that's good ol' Sub-Zero challenging Baraka in that screenshot there. While the DDR game is non-existant, I'll tell you something... well, a picture says a thousand words... the only words I can say here is that Sakura REALLY let herself go. Take a look:
Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo. Only in Mortal Kombat form. Thus, Puzzle Kombat is born.

The milk that I drank probably came from a retarded cow. Some refer to milk as "cow juice." So it's probable that I drank retard cow juice this morning.
Alright, compared to many other games, MK is cheap. But I still like it anyway. There really isn't a fighting game I hate, for the record. But MK isn't very practical as far as more serious fighters are concerned.
Regardless, I'm excited for Deception... here's another minigame screenshot, though I'm a little baffled...
It looks like some odd form of Chess... or maybe even Shogi. I dunno...

Hey...everyone has their own opinions. Don't be so harsh.
Well....yeah.. I like Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II. III wasn't that great. IV suckz. Trilogy was good, just because the fact that they have Classic Sub-Zero. Deadly Alliance is good. Any other MK gamez I haven't mentioned?
Well... got me there. MK2 is still my personal favorite. Nothing will change that. I guess what I meant to say is that DA is the best SINCE MK2, which I must have played more than I should have back in the mid-90's, when I was still in elementary school. And was playing Doom on the PC to boot.
Anyway, I've noticed that Ermac, Mileena, and Noob Saibot are returning to the roster. More still to be announced... did anyone catch that screenshot where hanging bodies become part of the interactive environment? It will be interesting to see how the fighting arenas will be used, for damaging the opponent, and later, performing fatalities on them.
I also wonder who the bosses will be... unfortunately, Goro's dead now... I get the feeling Kintaro's not returning anytime soon... and I'll be damned before I let Motaro kick my ass in a 3D environment even harder than he did in 2D. Moloch might return, I thought he was kinda cool myself. But I'm guessing the insanely strong sub-boss will be an entirely new form of hellspawn that gamers will eventually grow to rue for ages. As for the final boss... I'm not sure... I await to see what Midway has in mind.

The thing I didn't like about Deadly Alliance is that they killed off Liu Kang and Shoa Kahn.
So is the whole game gonna be XBox Live enabled or just the crappy mini-games? Then again, then mini-games may end up being better than the actual game...
I'm pretty sure the mini-games are for LIVE and normal 1P play.
Also, I heard this should have the most characters of any MK game, Triology had about 40, so that should make around 50.
