Sorry, I searched but I couldn't find it. The incident is referenced by Butta in this thread:Originally Posted by Cmosfm

Basically, some dude blathered ON AND ON about how horrible Neo Geo Freak is. About how they put original boxes and instructions through a shredder. But the highlight was about how they allegedly beat up this 16 year old kid. There were photos offered as proof; what was shown was a largish man, staring serenely directly into the camera, holding a teenager in a headlock. I found it a little hard to swallow that this spontaneous act of violence was captured in multiple (not blurry) photos where the attacker looks like he is saying "cheese". Nonetheless, this clown was enetertained with multiple responses to his senseless nonsense. Now that I reflect on it, that thread was a little bit worse than this one. But not by much. It disturbs me that this sad little man called "Player 2" can generate so much discussion.
If you don't like the thread, just stop responding. I think this is the first time there was a "debate" that didn't end up locked or moved into the oblivion.
I'm somehow proud and a bit disturbed by the result
This was probably covered, but there's just way too much to read.
how exactly does overpaying on ebay save you hours of wasted time? ebay is pretty quick for me...if the item isn't up, check again in a couple of days, if it is, put in your max bid and forget about it.
This debate is common to many collectibles. I collect comic books and there
have been similar "discussions" in comic collecting forums.
For example, this website sparks similar arguments between collectors.

As an aside, I live in Alabama and have been to some of Player-2's stores.
They sell common loose NES cartridges pretty cheap.
And they do have local competitors that buy/sell used video games (chain and stripmall stores).
Damnit I thought this thread was finally going to die!!!
I got lucky and found one at a pawn shop with the classic "buy one get one free" deal and was able to get Suikoden 2 & Persona 2 for $9.99 and tax.Originally Posted by Funkenstien

I'm not going to whine when people pay too much for their game stuff. I just refuse to pay retail or above for any game. As for the thrifties, I am one of them so I understand the position we stand on. If I can purchase something I want for next to nothing WHOOPIE! I mean, yeah you spend hours digging through bins, pouring over glass counters and haggling from store to store but what I enjoy most about buying excellent games on the cheap is the thrill of the hunt. Patience is a virtue that is always rewarded. As for you "Big Dogs" I got a copy of Suikoden 2 I'll sell for $50. Now that dog don't hunt.
