    Default S.O.S Sega Cd trouble!

I am having a little bit of trouble with my sega cd version 2. For some odd reason when I leave the system pluged in it stays warm even when not in use. I worrie sometimes if it could be a fire hazzard. Im using an after market power addapter rated the same as stock. Is this a common problem with the cd version 2 or unique to mine. Any info and suggestions would be of great .

Are you sure that the voltage/ polarity is dead on right?

It never happened with my model 1, but I remember calling Funco when the Sega CD was dying and trying to order Sega CD games and they said something like Sega CDs burst into flames or something. You're probably best off leaving the SCD umplugged when you're not actually playing it.

I think the manual actually said you should unplug the system when it's not in use

I thought you were going to post about how they might stop making games for the Sega CD. Phhh...We all know that not going to happen.
That never happens with either of my sega cd models, it is most definatly the plug.

Well off it goes. I dont really use it too much anyways. I just hope the plug doesnt fall behind my tv. It would never be seen again. Thanks for the help.

I use that same slogan except with controllers. Power adaptors should be left to the one that came with it.

oddly enough I made a mistake, The third party power addapter was hooked in to the genesis while the sega brand was hooked up to the cd. Hmm the plot thickens.
