[Editted to be less fanboyish]
It just hit me, but Sony Computer Entertainment of America really has sold out to the casual gamer. And maybe that's fine, I mean if I was in business I'd go where the money is. And I think it really started with the PS2. How many PS2 games are PSX games with nicer graphics? And now look at PSP. To me it seems like the sega Nomad in that you can play your favorite PS2 games on the go, but you'll have to buy them a second time! And like I said I understand that sequels sell, but I wish SCEA would release just a little more original content.
For instance: Why weren't Vib Ribbon, Metal Slug 3, Beatmania & Gran Turismo Concept released here? I know they wouldn't have sold as well, but it would be really nice if the market leader would take a chance in the occasional risky yet innovative title.
Perhaps it's the way it has to be. The Dreamcast had an awesome amount of Original Content and it went belly up. But it doesn't mean I have to like it.
I'm not getting on a high horse on anything though, I am looking forward to the SEQUELS(!) to Ico, Suikoden, and Silent Hill...
And granted the Eyetoy fits the bill nicely, and I haven't bought one so maybe I should just have a coke and a smile
