Default Super Mario All Stars doesn't work!!

    Hiya folks!

I have now bought 2 copies of this bloody game - 1 PAL and 1 NTSC! I have tried them in my 3 SNES's but most of the time (about 95%!!) SMB and SMB3 just reset themselves to the title screen!! ANd, yes, I have cleaned them!! Is this a common thing or am I just a freak!?!?

This may sound weird but.... how are your controllers? Are you using extension cords?

I had a weird resetting problem with SMB All Stars once when using controller extension cords. Make sure you are using first party controllers, and do NOT plug one or both in while tyhe unit is powered on.

I suspect SMB All stars polls the ports in an unusual fashion. I have nothing to back that up, other than experience similar to yours.

Hmmm, no I've just bought another SNES with 3 official controllers and I had to test them so now as a side effect I have tried four different official controllers!! And I don't use extension cables!! But at least I now know I'm not the only one suffering this affliction...!

    You've tried it in 2 SNES's?

Try powering on with controllers unplugged, then plug one in and test. Also try powering on with one controller in, and then test.
