Most time spent on a game?

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I did a search and could'nt find anything.

What's the most time you've spent on a single game?

I realized today that I had just broken my old limit when I became a Level 18 EA Gamer on NCAA Football 2004 for my GC. To get to that point, you have to play for six days. That's SIX DAYS of game time playing football.

In other words, about 144 hours. All during about a six month time span.

My OLD record was Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSX -- I used the suggested levels in the Prima guide for going through the game, and between that and taking all the time to explore all the optional stuff, I logged in 110 hours by the time I was done.

But even football surprised me. I must be a football nut allright.

(Yeah, I'd say I'd got my $40 worth that I spent on the game used back in October. )

I have spent way to much time on Animal Crossing. I would estimate somewhere around 200 hours . . . maybe more.

Between Animal Crossing and Doubutsu no Mori E+, I've spent at least a few hundred hours... it will be much worse when AC comes out on the DS because then I can play AC at school

I'm sure the record belongs to GTA: Vice City on my PS2. I'm guessing that previous recordholders were Gran Turismo 2, Gran Turismo 3 A-spec, The Sims for PS2, Final Fantasy III, and SimCity for SNES.

When I was a kid I spent a year or so trying to beat Wizardry, and then I spent the summer of '87 trying to beat Bard's Tale/Bard's Tale II.

I used to be addicted to d2 for like 3 years logged close to 4.5k hours damn blizzard in there good and addictive games.

I have at least 500 hours on the DC version of Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Ever since that game came out I've been playing it.

Simcity 2000 (1995-1999)
and recently, Animal Crossing

It's somewhat embarassing that I spent a good 183 hours on pokemon ruby. I was determined to "Catch em all" without the use of a gameshark. Thusly, I did. I'm so proud of myself!

77 hours into Disgaea. Tried leveling my guys super high and pretty much quit, so I wasted about 30 hours. But the most probably goes to that cursed game counter strike. It will forever have taken out a good chunk of my life.

You know, I can't believe in my original note I forgot to mention I was only thinking of CONSOLE games.

I estaimate all together on Morrowind I've spent at LEAST 500 hours. Seriously. There is SO FREAKIN MUCH you can do in that game.

For me its Warcraft 3. GOOD GOD I added up some of my accounts and well im up to almost a month of play time........... Heres how got the game when it first came out, I play 12 a week at work, plus god knows how many games at home. This game is THEE black hole of my life.

I spent about 8 hours on Karnov at the ARCADES when I was a kid, and never beat it.

Other than that PSO I & II -- -easily over 1,000 hours. I've got 7 charactrers, all over level 100... a few over 125, and two above 160.

I've beating various vesions of Der Langrisser about 16 times now. I have no idea how many hours that is as it doesn't keep track of time.

My old save file in Xenogears says 80 hours but I know I spent at least another 5 or 10 repeating boss battles over and over. Span of 2 years or so.

would have to say counter-strike, 2-3 hours aday, some days 4-5, and before i got engaged last year on my days off sometimes id pull all day sessions of 10 hours...and this has been for 4 years now .....not on-line ....faked sick a week from my freshmen year of HS to play Final Fantasy 7, took me 6 months to beet, i had 134 hours on that bad boy, im goin thru it my 11th time and i plan on crushing that time

Probably like a 1000 hours I have logged into runescape when I was playing.

For me, the most game hours logged on one game would have to be Ocarina of Time. I spent months when it came out in '98 playing it til my fingers hurt, trying to get everything in the game. Then when the special edition GC disc came out with all the Zelda's on it, it rekindled my flame with the game. So don't know the exact hours but know it's alot.

For a sports type game it would have to be pretty much the whole Mario Kart series. I would say I spent more time play MK64 than the other 2, but sometimes would spend with my brother and neighbor like 3-5 hours sraight playing one game.
