Default Is it me or did F-Zero got harder in sequelz?

I was playing F-Zero GX on Expert two dayz ago and that game seems to be harder than F-Zero for the SNES and F-Zero X for the N64. I can't get first place most of the time because the damn computers have perfect handling, even on the most terrible vehicles.

    I think its you...

F-Zero for SNES (In my opinion) is much MUCH harder than GX / AX or even X. Playing through GX, I found to be, much like playing through a verticle shooter. Just haveing to avoid every possible object in order to reach the finish and at an extremely fast pace. Only times I found its difficulty to be truly frustrating was on the "Master" Difficulty setting or in the Story Mode. And the only way to get through Expert / Master difficulties is to take out everyone in your way with the Side attack, also gives you an Extra Ship if you take out 5.

The funny thing is that it is the reverse for me. F-Zero for the SNES is extremely easy for me.

F-Zero GX's master difficulty isn't too hard. It's a matter of knowing the courses, and always placing high. Taking out your closest rival at least once is important, but as long as you use a custom car like the Frost-Lynx G4 or whatever its called, you can do it without TOO much hair pulling.

I also think its just a matter of knowing the course. Since your going so damn fast. Love those games!

I'm going to have to agree with NeoVenom.

I was able to beat the original F-Zero without much trouble. F-Zero X (which is still my fave, btw) took me about 2 years to finally beat the game on master difficulty (I'm so proud of that special title screen!), but GX has got me defeated. I've given up entirely (for now at least). IMO it is insanely hard, then again I used to think the same of F-Zero X...

I'm glad to see that some agrees with me. I don't have a problem with Novice and Standard Mode, but on Expert? And I imagine if there was a higher difficulty level, I'll do even worse. Maybe I do need more pratice.

Well, I agree that F-Zero for SNES was not really hard. I have not played GX, but AX and i did not drive really good However i did only drive a few times so i did not know the handling or the courses

Wow. I thought everyone would agree that the GameCube release is the hardest yet. I've played through the SNES, N64, and GBA versions with relative ease, but I've all but given up on trying to 100% clear the new one. Damn shame too, I had a good streak going.
