Default Most you have ever spent on Video Games at one time?

What is the most amount of cash you have ever spent on video games at one time. Whether it be a lot off DP, a lot off ebay, and arcade, or a spending spree. What is the most you have ever spent?

For me it's my X and o's football I spent 410 total. But... I plan on taking $450 this summer to GameStop and going on a gamecube shopping spree. Cant wait.

Most I can remember is about $200 to get a bunch of NES, SNES, and Genesis stuff. Now may I recommend you take the $450 at buy older games? Wouldn't it be better to have about 200 NES games rather than 15 GC?

I spent about 150 on 2000 some odd snes boxes and about 120 on around 300 genesis boxes. My friend Nez spent 300 on a huge lot of atari stuff. In fact I am going now to the same store to either cherry pick or buy out ALL his NES stuff, bunch of boxed games and tons of carts. Closes in 2 days so I'm hoping to get a good price ;). Wish me luck.

The most I ever spent in 1 shot was $334 on E(vil)bay for my Neo Geo Aes. But I've been meaning to get one for about 3 years so I can justify it.

I was going to say it was the day I bought 25 Saturn games at 4 different Best Buys, the day they dropped 'em all to 10 bucks each...but it was actually the time I bought out another local collector for $500. Hundreds of games, dozens of systems, many of them boxed. Highlights included 32X Spiderman, SegaCD Snatcher, Jaguar AvP, TG-16 with CD expansion in hardcase, Virtual Boy in hard case, Boxed JagCD & Jaguar, Boxed 7800, Boxed Nomad, Boxed Lynx. Filled up my van, and took me weeks to go through it all. The most I ever paid, and the most I ever got in a single lot....definitely worth it though.

Man, thats a good question. The most I've ever spent on games was ironically before I even started collecting. It was the summer of '90...about a year after I got my Sega Genesis. Got about $200 in birthday money that year and blew it almost all on games. Picked up Revenge Of Shinobi, Super Ghouls & Ghosts, and Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf at Toys R Us. The total was a little under $170 for those 3 (Shinobi was $70 I remember).

After looking at all the rare & valuable stuff I have in my collection, I think it's kind of funny that the most I ever spent on games at one time was retail for 3 new Sega Genesis games. I got an almost complete Japanese Virtual Boy collection and I didn't even spend over $100 for any of those. I guess collecting turns you into a thrifty person.

I once spent $550 or so on a US home cart Metal Slug X. I later sold it and remade all the money I spent in favor of a MVS cart...

I spent 250€ on a Vectrex w/ 16 games and carrying case, but that was probably a good deal :) The most I spent on a single game was probably 90€ on Great Giana Sisters.

340€ on a PS2 with GTA3 - it was worth it, but I'll never spend that much on Videogames again. The PS2 was a complete waste of money, at least I got to play Vice City and stuff before the PC gamers got it

Ive easily dumped 400 on games a few times, (basically my entire paycheck) on stuff for mutiple systems. My game store would love me on fridays.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

I think my bill at SuperAuctions last time was about $700 for the three cabinets I picked up.

My biggest non-arcade one day bill? PS2 Launch Day.

    PS2: $300 (Mine)
    PS2: $300 (Wife)
Controller, Memory Card, 2 Games, tax: $200

That's $800. My wife and I were #1 and #2 in line for the PS2 in Mustang, OK. My license hadn't been updated, so we didn't have the same address on our licenses, allowing us each to buy one. I sold the second one later that day for a slight profit.

$180 on five Neo Geo MVS carts from a local guy. We met on a dark Sunday night at the back of a Wendy's parking lot. It was sweet.
