    Default New Colecovision Power Supply???

The cord on the power supply adapter for my Colecovision has a short in it. I was wondering if anybody knew where I could get a new power supply at. Are there any companies that make new "after market" power supplies or will I need to continue to look on EBAY for an older Coleco.

    Thanks

Never heard of a new one. The CV AC adapter is truly unique.

It sucks that it is so unique. I wish that I could just find one. I have a Coleco I still haven't tested.

    Hasn't anyone ever tried hot-wiring a colecovision to a multi-AC Adapter?

Yes, I always thought the only real backup for in the future was a PC power supply.

oddly enough my first RGVC, and classic game world as a whole trade was me giving JT a colecovision power supply for some commons. what the heck is he talking about "floor set bricks with wires to a wall outlet"? i've never seen those in all my CV finds.

man i've noticed a lot of requests for new CV supplies, it must be the year of dead power supplies. i just got a new one recently from a member of digitalpress since mine was messed up inside the cord.

Not sure if they were only from Canadian units or not (the one I have came from one) but it's like a 5200 AC adaptor with a lead on either end (one to the system, one to the outlet).

I was thinking the same thing. It's been a few years since I was active on RGVC but I certainly remember him. I wonder if 'the maverick" and "sspacewalk" are still on there as well?

I've got a spare CV brick (Canadian w/ brick in the middle). If the original poster or anyone else wants it for cheap (or a small trade ), PM me.

Didn't omnedon mention he was working out a deal to have new CV power supplies built? I saw recently where Atariguide.com is selling newly made Atari 7800 power supplies & offering large lots of 50 each on them too. Omnedon mentioned a few months back working out a deal to get new CV & 7800 power supplies but I haven't heard any more about that recently.
