I know what he's saying im 15 and have aquired 1000 games over the last year. ive seriously thought about selling all the ones i dont play regularly, but i havent really had time to play a game in 6 months with the football season staring and the regular weight lifting. another reason i havent sold mine is because ive sold some of my non gaming collections and a few months later i was kicking myself in the ass.

But anyway... do what you feel is right, Goodluck with your sale.

dbiersdorf, I know where you're coming from. I sold a LOT of my games when I was about your age. Not all of them, but quite a few. I was 16 and I wanted some extra cash to go out and party with. Since I was spending most of my time out with friends, I didn't game as much and didn't see the need for them to collect dust.

Now that I'm older and don't go out nearly as much, I've found that I'm gaming more than ever, so I got back into collecting. While I do regret selling some of the games I did, I don't regret getting out and having fun when I was a teenager.

Do what you want, because games can always be bought again if you decide to collect in the future.

Most I had was my NES with a handful of games (I was a renter, not a buyer), SMS with about 5 or 6 games, my Atari 2600 with like 7 games, a few Pong systems, an Intellivision with about 10 games and a brand new Genesis with a whopping 2 games.
I work at a lawfirm in downtown Minneapolis, I get $9.00 an hour, so it's not too bad. My parents also bought quite a few games when I was yougner for my older brothers and I sorta just inherted them.
Mostly just play Nintendo 64. If you've got games PM me! Cart only.

Seriously, whatever it's "meant" to be used for, I don't give a crap. I collect games, and I think to comment "games are meant to be played, not collected" is kinda ignorant to a sense. Just about everything people collect are "meant" for something (except baseball cards). So whenever I hear that said, it kinda strikes a nerve.

Also, sell everything if you want, You get 3-4 people saying this a month and 9 times out of 10 they never do. No offense, but I don't really care anymore...just give us your screen name so we can buy your shit from you.
    Spam, nothing more.

It's always sad to see another collector go. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. And I'll be giving some of your games a good home!

And another thing, Im not sure where you got your games but if you got them for cheap at garage sales, and flea markets and such for really cheap, you can sell them on ebay and make profit, and if you ever start collecting again you can just get them for cheap at sales.

Hoom Hom. This thread has inspired me to sell off my collection as well. Look for a sale next week on ebay, userid inyourdreamsyouvulturebastards.

Quick ?? about IGN collections, is there anyway to view and compare top users' collection? It looks like you can only view one's collection if you know the user's name.
