    Default Messed up Genny/Megadrive

    Hi,

I got a megadrve today seams in top nick but i cant play it because it doesnt display anything...

I have tried on 3 different tvs i know the tv is tuning it in because it makes the slightly high pitched sound that a megadrive makes that gores EEEEEEEE

I thoight it may be the rf lead i have tried putting to antenna and RF mode.....

Also when i plug a pair of earphones into the headphone slot i hear nothing so i think its most likely the unit is screwed....

I have tried with many different games

Imagine it... MK1 sitting on ure desk and you can't play it because u've bought a fuckdrive.....

do you think changing the power cord could do anything? Although the LED goes red when im using

There was alot of dust in the cart slot that i have cleaned out using the hover..

    Thanks

Hmm. Beyond a cleaning, it's hard to get excited about MD/Genny repair, with them being sooooo common.

Clean the whole PCB board and hope for a short?

so you think that will solve the problem? i thought there are live parts in there

Also on the left side onnthe bottom there is a piece of plastic i can take off and on the side there is some kind of expainsion slot with a red piece of plastic on and it says do not remove incase of electric shock what does this do?

    Thanks

Well there is still a clump of dirt which stops golden axe on my multicart from playing in colour and i cant play many other games apart from my multicart because the realcontroller is mashed.
