I just took a look at this... was pretty excited to see such a diverse lineup of new products...
...until I saw that the first new Saturn game in years is going to be released ONLY at CGE and ONLY 25 copies will be made. So much for the last few years of work in trying to complete the US Saturn collection.
(I'm sure this has happened over and over with the CGE only releases, it's the first time I've been hit with it though)
Yeah we try to discourage that but it's an exhibitors' right. Trust me, I plan to lean on them with this one because I think there are plenty of others like you and I who are working on the whole collection and can't have this limited edition thing kill our years of hunting!Originally Posted by chadtower
I emailed several of the staff members listed on their website with that exact concern... even if not for just a complete collection's sake, there are people who want to give them money for a product and they would do well to take it.
*grumbles about Good Deal Games pressing just 5 PAL copies of Bug Blasters & Star Strike*
Only 25 copies? How the hell are they going to handle that? Their table would be swamped the first five minutes. Are they going to do lottery tickets? Either way I think I'm screwed.
Just get in line about 30-45 minutes before they start selling them. I did it with war of the robots for vectrex.Originally Posted by MegaManFan

How many Stonix carts are there gonna be? That's a game I want to get, because I love that crappy disc, dammit
I hope the packrat people will have those O2 homebrews there too-I want to pick them up too.
Check out the Kleppings!

Seeing as how you're going to be there, and you know there are people here who want them... you could probably do well buying all of them.Originally Posted by MarioAllStar2600
BTW, it won't happen with the Saturn game, but WOTR wasn't even sold out months later. I know I got my copy from the author much later and it was still in the original 100 copies.
Yea but they were only selling 25 at CGE for some reason.
So how much is this Sega Saturn game going to be? Anyone have an idea?

Songbird just revealed plans for more new stuff at CGE. JAG-ADS 2.0 from Minuteman Productions is now encrypted for your Jaguar CD, and comes with new bonus material, too! And the classic JagFest '99 video on encrypted Jaguar CD will also debut at the show. Last but not least, Jungle Guide #2 features a cool hand-drawn color cover, and 16 pages of goodies on games like CyberVirus and Zero 5. Visit the Songbird booth at the show and scoop some of these up for your collection!
As previously announced, Loopz for the Lynx will be available at CGE as well. Also, look for select Telegames merchandise at the Songbird booth -- including awesome games such as 2600 Pitfall II , 2600 Double Dunk, GBC Yar's Revenge, and GBA Ultimate Card Games.
See you at the show!
Why are these Jaguar CDs? Why not DVD?
Guess it's just the (admittedly geeky) coolness factor of being able to play Jaguar videos on the Jaguar CD unit.
I suppose if there was a "big" demand for DVDs of this kind of stuff, it could happen some day...
Aww, I understand
Personally I'd love to see the video footage, but I'm uh not about to track down a Jaguar CD to view a grainy version of it all... no offense meant to the system, of course.
It's actually worth it considering how many games AREN'T on Jaguar carts, not to mention the cool video effects in the music player - that alone is worth the price of admission.
