I think maybe it's a regional thing. I have never had a good experience at a goodwill. From my experience they are the worst thrift store for finding anything neat; not just games. But obviously some people get awsome hauls from those places.

    I got a bunch of 2 dollar Dreamcast controllers and VMU's at Gamestop. 6 controllers, 3 VMU's.

Also, I went to a GameCrazy, which I have never been to before, and they have a lot of neat stuff. They had a Nomad for $45, which I thought was a good price, but unfortunately they were holding it for someone. A lot of neat stuff, but my only purchase was a Japanese Mega Drive "J League Champion Soccer" cartidge for $1. My first import game!! Now I just have to see how I can play it...

Today with my mom and boyfriend I took care of a few errands and went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant, and I squeezed in a few stops. I got:

    At a Christian thrift store:

    4 Nintendo VHS promo tapes:
    Donkey Kong Country
    Diddy Kong Racing
    Banjo-Kazooie
    Hot Newz 64

All 4 for a $1. Banjo is the only one I don't already have, but for that price I figured I'd sell the rest for a few bucks. I haven't watched Banjo just yet, so here's to hoping it's REALLY cheesy and fun. :)

    At the Goodwill:

    NES Advantage controller - $3.99 (I didn't have one yet, so I couldn't resist)
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire (N64) - $1.49 (loose and really beat up but cleanable)

At the video outlet store I've been getting good deals at all summer:

    Turok Dinosaur Hunter - N64
    Castlevania - N64
    Lode Runner 3-D - N64
    Knife Edge: NoseGunner - N64

All complete, and all for $20. My boyfriend also bought 4 PSX games: Fighter Maker, Dino Crisis, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions for $10 in varying states of rental-dom.

All in all, not too shabby.

Hmm, I worded that badly This one isn't set in Egypt, I know that much so far (. There's actually a sort of overlapping chart with ages and recommended games for each age group - more than the Super Solver series, looks like their whole educational action games catalog really!

Added more stuff to the genesis collection:

    Gamestop

    Wolfchild (loose) - 3.99
    Gadget Twins (loose) - 1.99
    Zoop (loose) - free

    Eb Games

    Alien 3 (complete) - 4.99
    Atomic Runner (complete) - 4.99
Flicky (loose) - 7.99 (Yay! Flicky!)

    Goodwill

    Columns III (complete) - 3.99

Not too shabby. Of course, I had the boxes and manuals for all the loose games =D! Perhaps in a few months I'll find carts for all these damn boxes so I have more space in here! Slowly building up the genesis collection. Wish I had started this odyssey way before gamestop cleared out their loose carts =\.
