Just got a 5200. Looking through vgmuseum.com (damn those pop-ups) I didn't see many titles with promise outside of 2600 ports. I need some help deciding what games to pick up for it. I think a top 10 will do it for the 5200.

I had to go back to our old home to get this, but here's the Official Top 20 this group came up with just a few weeks ago. What do you think?
Ballblazer
Berzerk
Bounty Bob Strikes Back
Defender
Frogger II
Joust
Jr. Pac-Man
Millipede
Missile Command
Montezuma's Revenge
Mountain King
Ms. Pac-Man
Pengo
Qix
RealSports Baseball
Rescue on Fractalus
Robotron: 2084
Space Dungeon
Star Raiders
Super Cobra
Vanguard
Xari Arena
MULTI-CART! :twisted:Originally Posted by congobongo

Tempest
Thanks for the list. I missed that one. The multicart sounds great. I'm looking in to ordering it now.
If you're going to CGE, save yourself the postage and buy it there!
Robotron 2084 should be on that list! It totally rocks with the 5200 controllers connected together with the coupler. I could play Robotron all day!
And the original Pac-Man has always been a favorite of mine. It's SOO much better than the 2600 version. Even with non self-centering sticks.
And whats with the Official Top 20 including Prototypes? I thought these lists were always of released games? Have any of the other Official DP game lists included any prototypes? I'm not talking homebrews that were officially sold at CGE or online. Maybe they should be grouped together via the multi cart as one sellection and not as 3 separate games that can't be bought or found?
Looks kind of misleading to the newbie collector. Dood Stumbles across list looking to buy/find all the top games for the newly aquired system, and then he can't find the games anywhere since they where never released. Maybe there needs to be a disclaimer * note added.
I live in Toronto, Canada so I don't think I'll be making it to CGE. Maybe I should start a Canadian version. I know they have something in Qubec but we should really have an expo in Toronto.Originally Posted by digitalpress
I'd like to see an alternative version of this list that doesn't include protos/repros. Anyone up for the task?
