The game itself isn't half bad.

It's basically Monster Rancher, only you get to draw your monsters instead. You have to start out small, but you get more ink and color to draw as you progress.

It can be had rather cheaply at most stores nowadays.

Magic Pengel is a great game. It's sorta like Monster Rancher, except you get to draw the monsters yourself. I had a lot of fun just doodling. I mean, how many other games let you fight with a spoon wielding Pompadour Penguin? None, dammit!

I haven't had a chance to try Pengal out yet, my PS2's been vacationing at my boyfriend's house for a while. But I've been interested in the game since I spotted it at Best Buy some months ago. There fore when I spotted a brand new copy at EB "pre-owned" for $12 I had to have it.

I'm looking forward to the drawing aspect of the game and am really very curious to see how it's implemented. Not to mention I just really enjoy bizzare RPGs.
