Default RAIDEN III TO BE UNVEILED!

Fuck yeah! I am a Shmup fan. I have been for the majority of my gaming career. I have a soft spot for Raiden. Not the best shooter, but certainly solid for its time! It's coming soon! Check the link and rejoice!

The next news item - a new Shining Force game - is pretty kickass, too!

This news is sorta strange, though...Irem did just release R-Type Final, after all...wonder if this one will be 2D?

The more modern shumps the better, it would be cool if it came back as a major genre.

That's weird. I just played Raiden Fighters at the school arcade (I love college) today. It's hard to keep your eye on both the stuff you're shooting and your own ship.

Glad to see that. It's my favorite genre and the only one I've decided to be a "complete-ist" about for the systems I have. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a U.S. release. I've enjoyed the new Defender, R-Type, and Gradius games. I wouldn't mind seeing an update for Salamander. Oh yeah, and Silver Surfer too!

Just as long as that THICK ass purple lazer is in the game again, I'm there. I have many fond memories of playing that game at the UCONN branch arcade and eating cheese-its from the nearby vending machine. I had to stop hanging out there when a buddy of mine started a small fire there. DOH!

So I bought the Raiden Project for PSone and still play it now. C'mon Part III, any system will do!!

Excellent news. I've been waiting for this one for a long time, but after awhile figured that it was never going to happen... this is great

Sweet New Raiden...(Quickly fires up Raiden Fighters Jet Arcade Machine). Its about time. Although Schmups tend to be mindless quarter pumping games, there is just something about playing them that helps make the world seem to disappear in a charged up bomb flash. Maybe they will make some new 19XX games
