I've also got both, and I'm giving Fusion priority just because it's more compelling. Prime seems to be great stuff, but Fusion has me as enraptured as a video game possibly can. It's everything that I loved about Super Metroid, and then some.

I decided this after playing about a half-hour of each game, and I suggest you try the same method. Who knows? You might like Prime better.

I've played both, and I like Fusion better. That's probably because it's pure Metroid. Prime is very good, but it's not a type of Metroid that I'm used to..

Im gonna buy fusion first, for all of the retro value. Super Metroid is a fantastic game, and fusion looks good.
Somebody once told me to get a life.

I told them I sold it for money to buy video games.

Been playing Fusion for a few months now (wink wink), and I have to say, if you are a Metroid fan, this game is for you. Have tried demos of Prime, and while it's a decent game, it's more Perfect Dark than it is Metroid. Prime doesn't have the fast paced action that Fusion does, so I recommend playing Fusion first, and not considering Prime as a Metroid game when you play it..

I would disagree with you tetsu. Prime has Metroid written all over it. But then Zelda OOT has Zelda written all over it too, but some consider it to not really be a zelda game. So I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. What I will say is that if you think Zelda OOT is a zelda game, then you will think that Prime is a Metroid game.

OH GOD, please don't compare it like this! I don't want them to destroy Metroid too! <sob, sob>

    WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!?!

I BETTER like Prime better than OOT (Can't we call it Zelda Ocarnia? I'm sick of running around saying OOT, I keep thinking of Birdie in Mario 2 when you hit her with an egg)

LoL Sylentwulf, Personally, I call it Zoot, as in the suit. But the comparison, while valid, isn't totally accurate. As I understand it, your main complaint with Zoot is that it foregoes the plot in favor of exploration style play, right? Well Metroid has always been about exploration, and as I said in an earlier topic, They managed to make the exploration fun without you feeling lost or confused. Plot has never been a big part of metroid, but if you want, with the scanner you can learn more about the environment, enemies, and story than you ever could in Zoot, or Lttp for that matter. what I meant to imply with that statement is that everything in the game feels like it came from the metroid universe, and its just 3D now, instead of being some generic FPS with metroid slapped on the title.
