    Well Sylentwulf, I've actually purchased from you in the past. So I feel you are fair.

    The reality is that it does cost a seller more than actual shipping to ship an item. I expect to pay for your time and materials too. However these are clear cases of them trying to dodge the fee system or to take advantage of new users.

    Don't use Ebay.

    Or you can look at it this way

    People soetimes overcharge for shipping to avoid shipping costs

    Don't like the higher shipping charges?

    Don't Bid.

    I really don't see the big deal about all of this. As long as the seller isn't being deceiving by hiding the shipping and handling costs then I say who cares.

    The point is Griking that the shipping costs are not representitive of the actual cost + time + materials to ship said item. The auction draws people in by the price being so low and is totally deceiving in that the buyer percieves a bargain. I think the saying for this is called "Bait and switch". Not a good way to treat potential customers in my book. I see you always defending tactics like this. Could you be of the same ilk?

    im not a fan of how Ebay handles their site. i have alot of problems with them to the point i will not go and make an account with them .i have one with yahoo but not with ebay

    this is how i think they should handle their little ebay issue

    NES
    $ 20.00 BIN
    shipping $ 10.00 ( ON THE HIGH END )
    then EBAY Fees ( and then quote exactly the % you will have to tack on to get ebay their money without loosing out ) . if the seller shows the buyer exactly what % of the bid they will have to add on to send for ebay fees maybe they will complain to ebay as much as the sellers do

    so it would be 20.00 + 10.00 making it 30.00 and then lets say 5% of that goes to ebay lets say . so they would have to tack on another say $1.50 so for a nes that BIN would be 20.00 the buyer has to pay in all $31.50. i think if sellers did it that way buyers would be more understanding in paying more ( maybe) and if not ebay would get alot more complaints and ebay cant stop people from listing auctions that way cause the sellers are just being that blunt and honest

    Against policy to charge for ebay fee's, or paypal fee's. Your auction will get shut down.

    The biggest problem with this, is people aren't giving ebay the right amount of fee's, and fee's will go up. It's the same concept as pirating videogames, steal from them enough, and prices go up.

    Yes, that is exactly what it is. THE EBAY FEES. This way ebay only takes it's final value fee out of $1 instead if $39 was the Buy It Now price.
    The guy is only saving like $1 probably on each auction, but I guess it's still $1 dollar.
