Naturally... of course make sure you're using the real Q-Tip as many cheap cotton swap tended to fall apart easy and you don't want to use magnifying glass and tweezer to pull out the strands from the cart connector.

To clean systems I use the scrubby bubbles bathroom foaming cleaner (well I use a cheap knock off from a local store--but I'm not sure how many of you have a Kroger's near by) And an old t shirt.

you open it up with a philips head screwdriver and take the pin connector off.. Now just throw that in the trash and put a new one on.. cleaned..

no, I tried that with an old NES i had when classicgaming first posted that and all it did was make it hard to put games in and get them out.. No one but the guy who wrote that thinks it works. If you're going to open your NES you might as well spend the $10 and buy a new connector.

Found a site with the connectors for $5.99 online. Anyone know of places offline that would possibly sell them?

whenever i tried to do that to my NES, it was compleatly backwards from what the description said. i went about halfway down, and then gave up.
Somebody once told me to get a life.

I told them I sold it for money to buy video games.
