I just received an AV Famicom off eBay today (which is of the good, obviously), but the AC adaptor included is the one for the NES. Sure, it fits, and the system seems to work fine with it, but is it going to kill the Famicom?

No, I doubt it. I have done that before with other electronics and nothing has happened. Its the same as going to a radio shack and getting one of them multi power adaptors thingy's.
Thanks for the confirmation. I've done this sort of thing before with US systems (one of the first things I learned in college was that a Genesis AC adaptor will work on an NES), but I'm basically an import virgin looking to retire one extremely well-used toaster, er, NES while also getting to play some of those unreleased-in-America games.[/b]
I use the power adaptor from the NES to power my A/v Fami as well. No problems here.
Yeah, it's fine, just don't use it with an original Famicom
