Default Ever loss out on money from selling/trading a game away?

We probably all have had our share of good deals, but how about the opposite for a change. Maybe you sold a game for less, or went for less than average... or you traded away a game for much less value, whatever. Post them here.

    Mine are all Saturn-related:

Traded back in 2001 Legend of Oasis for Fighters Megamix. Now, back in 2001 LoO was a $25 title or so, and FMM was like a $10 title. Today LoO is more like $10 which is shocking to me, such a quality game. (I eventually bought LoO again, for a measly $5, this past year)

I traded away Metal Slug for Soukyugurentai. MS could easily go for double what Souky goes for.

Any regrets on my part? No. I've gotten my fair share of good deals and every once in a while it's nice to help out a gamer who deserves it.

On the opposite end, I got Capcom Generation 3 in the mail recently. I never wanted WANTED this game, but when I saw it going for 5 bucks on eBay in the last minute, I couldn't help but jump on it. Sad... I saw the seller's feedback and he bought CG 3 about two months ago for a total of $30. I won his auction for $8.51 shipped. Look at the loss in profit there!

    OUCH.

Yes. I recently found out only after the auction closed that the minty factory sealed Legendary Wings I had just sold for $13 was worth a lot if I knew a Japanese speaker who could list it on a Japanese auction site.

The punchline: My brother lives in Japan.

Ugh. What is it about that game, anyway? I've always thought it much ado about nothing. x_x

My overall WORST expierence was about 6 years ago at my local FuncoLand. Over a time period of about 2 weeks, I bought Mega Man 1-6 there. I guess it cost me about a total of like $150 if I remember right. This is when Funco had those big bookshelf type storage places for their NES games, each one could probably hold like 500 games, remember those?
Anyways, about 2 months after this I needed money real bad so had to trade those games in. I don't get rid of anything now, this is WAY before I really starting collecting games. Anyways I think I got about a total $20-$30 in trade in value. Definately lost money there.

Sure, I lose money all the time. Not much, though.

See, if I buy a game new for $50 and end up hating it, it goes up for sale on Amazon. Being new, I can get most of my money back. After selling it and shipping it, I normaly lose about $4-5 from when I bought the game to selling it. I just consider it a renting fee.

Do you get more money from selling games on Amazon or Ebay. I am guessing older games get more money from ebay, and the newer ones might sell better on amazon?

Only really lose money when I guestimate the shipping on items wrong. I hate over charging people but I do it anymore since I end up getting screwed on things.

Hell, I lost $2 selling a Hess truck on an ebay auction.

I try not to sell on EBay unless it's not listed on Amazon or it's a really valuable item. The new games sell in a matter of days, and I get the money right away, with no delays or problems.

Usually, trading in at EB or Gamestop is like getting bent over in a prison shower, but their current "buy 5 old sports games for PS2 and get $20 store credit" isn't a bad idea. Plus, if you put some of the credit toward pre-ordering Halo 2, you can bump the amount up a bit.
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.

I traded in Castlevania Chronicles at Gamestop and they gave me about $7 for it. I ended up buying it back about a year later for $30.
