    Default Famicom-to-NES Adaptor question

I picked up a cart of Gyromite today because it was $2.50 (though I later realized I already owned one :lol ). It was slightly heavier than the rest of the hundred or so NES games at the store, and it was one of the five screw cases, PLUS the screws were actually for a flat-headed screwdriver, unlike the security bit ones I normally see. Anyways, I bought it, took it home, and opened it up. I don't remember or know which direction everything is supposed to go in.

The side with the NES-JOINT-01 or whatever is supposed to go in which direction with the famicom cart and also inside the system? I don't know, and I don't want to try sticking a cart in the wrong way.

It doesnt matter which side is "up" for the converter....just remember then when you play a Famicom game in an NES the label has to face DOWN

Possibility is infinity! You must be satisfied!

Let me check this...in the toaster (NES-001), the label side of the Famicom cart faces DOWN, and so therefore in the top loader NES would be with the label facing the back of the console (opposite of the way NES games are, which has the label facing towards you/front of the console).

Once clarrified, thanks and that's half of what I'm looking for.

The piece which you say doesn't make a difference which is facing up is the black pin connector piece, correct? It appears to be a 60pin-to-60pin connector. I could understand that piece not mattering what direction it is in. Attached to that (black) pin connector piece is a board which one end is 60 pins and the other end (which goes to the NES) is the 72 pin. Which direction does this go in (not meant as in up down, but direction as in having the board in BACKWARDS the other way. Like inserting an NES cart in upside down. I don't know which way it should be facing. Same goes with the famicom game board itself, if I were to put this back together. I don't know

Toaster: component side (JOINT) up - whatever - cart label down

This setup is for a toaster and would go in the system as shown. So a toploader would indeed need the label to again be facing away. The little black chip on the board must face up or forward when inserted into the respective NES system design.

    BTW, is that Lea Thompson?
