This is probably one of the rarest GBL's in existence. The only one I haven't seen on ebay besides this one is the TRU Yellow one. Anyways I'm still recovering from that Display Unit. But if anyone else collects GB systems check it out (the price is a bit high, I paid 130$ for my system)

I collect Game Boy games and Systems. Currently looking for any R4 or R6 GB games (and a select few R5) available. PM if you got something.

So is that a GBC with a back light? Looks pretty cool, but since I am not a collector it would be cheaper to get a SP with the larger screen and backlight. But it still is a cool item.
Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!

Actually, it's a Gameboy Pocket with an "Indiglo" type of front-light system.

I have a gold version, not the much rarer Famitsu Magazine version.

It was definitely a cool system for it's time.

Seller is also selling the mentioned, apparently rarer Crystal version. No bids yet!

Wait hold up a second guys. The one the seller is selling is the clear/crystal one in this auction. The Famitsu Magazine is the rarest GBL. The Gold one is a normal edition, heck I have one too. But the clear one is very very rare, and this is the mail order version, which is rarer than the other version:
    http://www.imgcab.com/gameboy/gb_ima...l/majiburi.gif
(Thats the one I have, not the mail order version, but they're the same system just different packaging)

The Gold one is only pictured to show what its like with the light on. hope that clears things up: clear>>>>>gold>>silver

The other auction is just for a plain GBP its just a special Famitsu version thats clear and has special color schemes the price is way to high its only worth about 50$ thats why its not selling.

Not really. Why was it a cool system, cause it had a light to it? Game gear, and lynx already beat them to an actual light. If you ask me it was a pretty lame idea.
Somebody make me a "CGE 2k7 Attendee banner" so I don't have to use this lame text

It's really dumb, but the system is awesome, some of the quotes are hilarious tho (they illustrate the differences between american and japanese culture), they're located behind the system on the box.

"An hour playing a day, keeps the doctor away"
"get outside and play some sports"
    and my personal favorite:
"Jack in! To that girl over there with your link cable" <=== I kid you not.
