THe update code adds many more new codes that were not in the original code book. Generally the new codes are for newer games that was released after GG was released as well as a few fixes such as 2 versions of code for 2 different version of game, etc.
Code update aren't easy to find so I guess the price reflect the updates only.
Another day, another dollar... wake me when it's payday.
