Nice! Got a pic of that one? Don't think I've seen it before. Is the box any different ot the 'normal' one?Originally Posted by nebrazca78
Oh, and @ orrimarrko - there's a couple more US variants I forgot earlier:
Some copies of Wonderboy in Monsterland were mispressed wiuth "Super Wonderboy Super Monster World" [the Japanese name] on the cart label
Similarly, the first printing of Psycho Fox mis-spelled the title as "Psyco Fox" on the label
and finally, the first 50,000 copies of Monopoly were mislabelled as "Mono Poly" and also include a hidden credits screen that was removed from later revisions (as confirmed by the programmer in a recent SMS power thread).
......
Does anyone know about the Alex Kidd: Lost Stars misspelling? I can only find it spelled one way.
Anyway, here are pics of all my blue label games. The loose AK:SW is an extra, PM me if you want it for $15 shipped.
First off, my babies, my entire U.S. SMS collection:
I think the rest need no explanation:
That's a new one on me, I think. What's supposed to be different?Originally Posted by nebrazca78
Cheers for the pic of the blue Rambo - first I've heard of that. I've posted a link at sega8bit.com to see if any of the US collectors there have seen it before...
Nice pics too! Forgive me for being unable to resist posting this one:
While we're on this topic, can anyone tell me how much Sonic Chaos might be worth for SMS?
Viva la raza, y los putos que quieran pedo, que se metan el pinche dedo.
No big deal but there is also a variant label on "Monopoly", they spell it "Mono Poly" (two words).
Not much. You can get one for about £2-£3 ($3-$5) over here, though it would probably sell for a little more in the US.Originally Posted by donkeykong1

Wow this thread is really weird to me. I didnt know that the USA games had blue labels. Here in Canada, I think the SMS was alot more popular then in the USA. I remember renting Scrambled Spirits, Dynamite Dux, Battle Outrun and alot of other games that I dont think were even released in the USA. All of our labels were red so I guess they must have all been Euro releases.
For 95 USD, I got this: http://www.tototek.com/pio/main1/SUB.../OS/smspro.htm. Now I can play both Shinobi World and Buster Douglas. How's that for a deal?Originally Posted by -hellvin-
That's pretty cool, but I don't think people are paying the $$ so they can play Buster Douglas.

Nice pic! Is that what I think it is, every U.S. and Euro SMS game? There are supposed to be two AK:LS variations. Both say Lost Stars on the insert but one cartridge is labeled Lost Star. I have only found the one that says Lost Star and I've probably been through at least 10 copies of this game.Originally Posted by anagrama
Nah, that's just complete Euro in the pic
I've got all the US exclusives too, though not all the name-changes like Buster Douglas.
Is the SMS version of Ghouls N' Ghosts rare? I think that would be the rarest SMS game I own.
BTW - Did Woody Pop ever get released? I don't think I've ever seen one in the wild. I've searched and searched for that game, to no avail. The game was listed in several of Sega's game catalogs...
Only in Japan for the Mark III - it uses the Paddle Controller which was also only available over there.Originally Posted by diskoboy
Interestingly, it has also been included as a built-in game in some of the recent Brazilian SMS3 Collection units form TecToy, presumably in a slightly-hacked form to allow joypad control.
Not that it has anything to do with SMS, but it was also released in the U.S. on the Game Gear.Originally Posted by anagrama
Actually,it's not complete at all..
Where's Lucky Dime Caper Deluxe box?
Where are all the Classic Brown releases?
I don't see Kixx releases either, but maybe i don't have good eyes, picture resolution is quite low
Well that depends on how much you want to pick nits.Originally Posted by Adol
Every released game is in the picture. I own all the variations you mentioned (except the DD Gift Set), but I don't personally consider variations as being necessary for a 'complete' collection.
If I had pictured all those, would you ask where all the 5/8 language variations are? Or the covers with alternate copyright years? Or localised covers?
