Never let go of the X button. Your fuel ticks off at the same rate regardless of your speed.

Fly across the park and hit the solo courier, then come back to hit the two near the starting point, then go after the final two.

Use L2 and R2 to steer with the rudder.

The couriers don't shoot at you until you shoot at them, so don't shoot from long range. Get up close. You might even want to land and shoot for maximum accuracy.

If you're attacking a van, head for the next target as soon as the van starts flaming. Don't waste time waiting for it to explode.

This is the hardest mission in the game, without question.

EDIT: I just realized you're talking about "Air Raid," the gunnery mission (for which I have no better advice than "aim and shoot"), and not "Supply Lines...", the mission after that, and the one to which I was referring. If you think Air Raid is hard, just you wait.

Couldn't agree more. After a tough day dealing with people nothing says relaxing then blowing them up. ^^

I wish there was an option to walk bikes. It's a bitch getting a bike up a big hill.

Mountain bikes would have been cool too. The BMX bike looks cool in the city, but it's kinda awkward seeing someone riding one down the highway in Red County.

I've come across a couple glitches. One time I parked a BMX in a garage in one of my safe houses and it was really close to the car that was parked there. I got off the bike and next thing you know, I was about a block away from the safe house. WTF?

Another time, I went into a safe house, saved and then got back into my car. The radio was off, and for some reason, I couldn't switch to any stations. Note that I had the radio on before I saved. I got in another car, and I couldn't turn the radio on in that car either. I couldn't even listen to anything on the pause screen! I decided to reset my PS2 and after that, the radio worked fine.

My favorite glitch so far: I triggered a gang war in a coastal area, and the enemy gang members spawned on the bottom of the ocean. I couldn't shoot them, but they shot at me when I dove down to look at them. I got a good laugh out of that one.

I do wish that [SPOILER ALERT] the girlfriend/dating aspect was better implemented. It's sloppy, confusing, and repetitive as is, my least favorite aspect of the game.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the floating tree near Blueberry. Drive north out of Blueberry onto the highway and turn east. As "Red County" appears on the screen, turn right and drive toward the tree in the grassy field. Note that it's hovering several feet off the ground.

There are mountain bikes in the game. I think they're harder to find than the BMX or the regular Bike, but you can definitely get one at the top of Mt. Chiliad.

Thanks. Looks like I may have to keep a couple in a garage then.

And I'll have to check out that floating tree too.

I picked up the game last night and logged a couple of hours on it so far. honestly, I'm not sure what to make of it.

The color scheme is horrible. Everything is orange grey and brown.
Walking, driving, etc into the sunset is impossible.
The same camera issues that plagued III and VC are still present
The language is a bit too much, even for me.
The plethora of racist comments and slurs really get under my skin too.

    However:

I like the overall game play.
Adding a bicycle was a cool idea.
    The map is friggin huge.
The character stats is a neat add on.
    You can fly a Cesna/Leer
and I like the ability to jump fences.

    *edit*

I also like the implementation of a full scale freeway as it makes for fast and easy access to the major parts of town. I only wish the signs were easier to read.

Did anyone ever give CJ a heart attack? I was walking around one day and he fell dead on his fat ass.

    True story.

The $49.99 I paid for San Andreas the week it came out is still the most I've paid for any single game. Best Buy had a deal going on - purchase GTA: SA and you could also get a GH game for $5. I bought the last copy of Kingdom Hearts.

I've probably spent more time with San Andreas than any other PS2 game... but I have yet to beat it. I'm a few missions away from the ending (and I still haven't completed Zero's pain-in-the-ass side missions... doubt I ever will unless I decide to go for 100% completion).

I bought the guide a few years ago, and here's a true story from that afternoon: I decided to leaf through it while waiting for the bus. A kid sees me reading the guide, tells me that he thought the game was awesome and starts talking about his favorite missions. I nodded a few times until the kid went back to his parents. He looked no older than 7.

I used to play video games, but then They started putting voices in the games which told me to do bad things.

Now I just skip the video games and do the bad things.

That's not using the search feature, which Mr. DigitalPress frowns upon.
