can anyone back us up on this one,i swear there was a thread forever ago about how in japan they never seal the games.i know it was mentioned over here
:http://www.digitpress.com/index2.htm
there must be some experts around these parts on japanese games.
My copy of Super Metroid appears to have never been sealed...in any case, it's mint through and through with the cartridge in a bag.
For the two sealed games I mentioned, there's a shrink seal going all around the thin edges except for the bottom. They're slightly junky looking seals, not exactly straight lines across. So who knows.
In any case, the copies look as if they've had that wrap on for quite a while, and there's some corner wear on Akumajo Dracula (IV) with corners and such, which seems consistent for being in shrink (if it was out of shrink, I'd expect it to have lots of edge wear).
They also didn't cost me much, either - $45 and $6X for Dracula XX if memory serves...actually less for Dracula XX than it's been selling on eBay sometimes.
Got them out of Hong Kong, so take that as you will.
I'd like more information on this myself.
A bunch for snes and a decent amount konami games for my other consoles.
I got Super Castlevania IV factory sealed at
ebay which cost about $45.
Also got The Legend of Zelda: A Link to a Past
factory sealed as well for $60 at ebay.
But i opened them up and played them. So now
there in 'mint condition'
I like buying factory sealed stuff.

Should have only cost you $25-$30.Originally Posted by Shawn Carr2o
