That's a pretty sweet find for 1.00! Welcome to the boards bro.

This reminds me of the time I bought some 80's trading card boxes from eBay, and they had gum in the packs, I tried a piece....it was still edible.

How edible? I've had that same experience as well, and the gum was as hard as a rock and had the same viscosity as a sheet of sandpaper. Yum.

You must've gotten a hold of some tightly sealed baseball card packs there!

Awesome find for a buck. I'm sure it is worth more than that, looks like you got lucky and found an item that no one else was watching, or the other watchers were like me and just forgot to bid out of stupidity.

Now the real test of your gaming hardcoreness: Will you open it and eat 22 year old gum?

Very cool. But for the love of god, DO NOT EAT THE GUM!!!!! A friend of mine bought some ninja turtle cards from the late eighties that were packed with gum, and he tried a piece...he thought he was gonna die!!!!

I hate wasting replies, so I'll recycle the one I posted in your other thread..

Well, it was made before Rare had their hands on the series, so it's gotta be rarer than Rare versions... *cough* Bad attempt at a joke. Sorry.

I think it's very cool, though. But don't eat the gumballs. I would assume they're probably a little.. stale.

I myself tried a really old stick (er, twig? log? tinder?) of gum in one of those baseball card packs a number of years ago...like folks are saying, when that stuff gets to be this old, it's pretty much indistinguishable from the cards it's sitting on. Well, you can still sort of taste what it's supposed to taste like. Lol.
