Starting November 14th, Nintendo of America will try to make holiday shopping easier by including Mario Kart: Double Dash!! free with the Nintendo GameCube, all for the same MSRP of $99.99. It's the perfect gift for the Mario fan without a GameCube!

These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
When is that game ever gonna drop from $49.99. I want it very much but it's too damn expensive. Hasn't it hit player's choice yet?
Some stores already have the bundles and have been selling them already. It comes with 2 controllers apparently.
Egbert, I miss you...
2 controllers? damn..that's a bargainOriginally Posted by Querjek

It's totally met the criteria for Player's Choice status, but Nintendo sucks.
PS- I own a GameCube, so shut up. (You know who you are)
Mario Kart is the Gamecube's Halo, which is a statement not comparing the two based on their gaming merits, but (lopsided) sales numbers and popularity. Halo took FOREVER to drop below $50 and I reckon it'll take a loong time for Mario Kart: DD to do the same. I'd suspect given the bundle, the used price will drop faster than the new. If you can still make 50, why settle for 30?
But.. Will it come with a Memory Card? That is the question. Without that, it's still work for the parents.
Well, if you buy it from Walmart, then it might, as some Walmarts are giving away memory card 251s with the GCN systems.

I think it has already hit the one million mark. I think the game is like the second or third best selling game on the cube. Actually I am pretty sure it's 1.4 million to this date. So YES, it has hit player's choice status, which is one million sold. But hasn't been lower yet, the price I mean.Originally Posted by Habeeb Hamusta

Anyways, cough up that $50 for it, you cheapskate. You of course know how awesome that game is!! GO GET IT NOW!!

No it's not.

Yes, it is.
If the game hits One Million sold, it's eligable for Players Choice.
However, another mark of Players Choice is a price cut. Nintendo sees no reason to cut the price of this game since it's selling so well.

its 1 million units and 12 months on the market.Originally Posted by SoulBlazer
If that's true, it's recent -- I recall seeing some N64 games go Players Choice in less then a year. :/

I would spend the extra $50 on the bundle and get another cube.
You might be able to trade the extra cube to cover the costs.

When is Nintendo going to create a bundle that will appeal to those who don't already have a GameCube? I'm sure there are a few people out there who have held off for a GameCube with Mario Kart... but mot many. I don't think this bundle will do terribly well. The only people interested that I've spoken to are people like me who already have one.
I wouldn't care as I would want component video output
They did one with Metroid Prime. What else would you want? Mario Sunshine again? Pikmin 2 maybe? Metroid and Mario Kart. Seem like winners to me seeing as they're mainly what Nintendo has.Originally Posted by pixelsnpolygons
Yeah, it wasn't a great price, but the fact that N64 carts were costly to produce probably had something to do with that.Originally Posted by Super_Ghouls_'N'_Ghosts
I heard a rumor about this about a month or so back, and it's nice that it turned out to be true. Mario Kart DD is a fun game.
