    Default Wireless Playstation controllers

So I've finally got a decent TV to use in my basement, for the bulk of my quality time with my games. Of course, the TV is on one wall, with the sofa across the room against the other wall. *IF* I stretch the controller cables, I end up sitting/lying on the floor, looking up at the TV, with controller cables hanging in front of the screen.

Of all the systems hooked up to the TV, the worst in this respect are the SNES and Jaguar. I figure the Jag's a lost cause until I figure out myself how to hack sopme sort of wireless adapter up for it, and for the SNES I'll probably go the PlayMessiah route, as their controllers are excellent.

But I know there were wireless controllers for the Playstation. I assume many of you have used various brands, and I'm wondering if there's any sort of consensus as to which to look for, and which to avoid?

I *assume* any PS2 products will work on the original Playstation, is that a safe assumption?

Just on the first set of hits at Froogls, I foudn the Saitek WOW for $27.73, a pair of Mad Catz w/o dual shock that double as TV remotes for about $25, a single Mad Catz w/dual shock for about $26, and others for the PS2 going up to around $50.

I got Hori RD wireless dual shock from lik-sang using my accumulated point and it works just fine on my PS.

I can in fact play in different room although there's not much point in there...
it's good you don't have to point the pad at the receiver anymore...
