I've finished Battletoads without continuing, Battletoads Battlemaniacs with one continue, I also finished Spelunker (NES) with three lives left.

If they made a movie out of your top five worst sins, what would it be rated?
Check out my list of trades on GameTZ Link

My -24 on the first course on "Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour" could be considered pretty impressive, I suppose.
Done without saving after every hole...
...'Cause that's BUSH LEAGUE.
Keep in mind, this might not be impressive at all. I don't know of all that many "Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour" afficionados.

Hmph.
30,201,920 on the Genesis version of OutRun. its not a world record or anything but its a P.B. I am proud of
beating Monster Party for NES without any help from guides/Youtube/FAQs/etc. this game was a favorite as a kid and I always needed Game Genie to get through it. 20 years later and once I got past level 1 I realized the game was easy
Gargoyles Quest 2. This wasnt a walk in the park but somehow I beat it
Speed run of SMB1. Couldnt tell you my fastest time. Sub 5 minutes I believe.
getting the black car on PS1 Ridge Racer
figuring out how to jump across Vvardenfel in Morrowind on my own. i felt proud of myself for figuring that out haha
208,639 on Tetris for Game Boy. its not the highest score but its a PB

I don't know if I've ever done anything particularly impressive in a game. I mean, to begin with, many of my favorite genres aren't known for being difficult, like RPGs and visual novels, and I'm not at all into stuff like speedrunning and 1CC'ing. And usually I play games on their defeat difficulty, very rarely increasing them to something harder (unless the default is still pathetically easy like in, say, Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure).
But I have beaten some games that people often claim are so tough, like the first Castlevania, Castlevania Adventure, StarTropics, Legacy of the Wizard, Zelda II, Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Skate or Die: Bad 'N Rad, etc. I've 100% cleared some games that are maybe not so challenging but still take an investment of time and effort that a lot of people aren't willing to put in, like Pokemon Pinball (caught 'em all), Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (beat all six modes), and Donkey Kong 64 (and I didn't have trouble getting the Nintendo Coin, which a lot of people freak out about). I've beaten a couple staff ghosts in F-Zero X, which took a massive amount of practice. Beating Boxxle was a big accomplishment for me. Took me years of on and off playing. Some of those damn puzzles had me stuck for weeks or months even. Back when I knew almost no Japanese, I played through a lot of text-heavy imports that a lot of people think are impossible to beat and enjoy if you're not fluent in Japanese. People underestimate how far a little trial and error can get you, and unless all you care about is story, you can still enjoy all the exploring and battling in RPGs even if you can't read the text.

Finding a girlfriend who tolerates (mostly) my video game collection. THAT would be my greatest videogame accomplishment! She's also been know to actually play a game or two (her current favorites are Katamari Damacy, Final Fantasy X-2 and Mario Kart - Double Dash).
For me along the same lines. When XBL started up, my roommate and I were ranked under the top 50 for a while in both Mech Assault and Unreal Tournament, until they restarted the leader board due to a few discovered glitches.Originally Posted by norkusa

I'm new here, and wanted to find out some of people's best/favourite gaming accomplishments. And so I'm resurrecting this old thread rather than starting a brand new one.
My best ones:
Finished Contra on 3 lives.
Finished all four Dragon Warriors for the NES from the start in one calendar year.
Rolled the counter over to 0 on Asteroids (Atari)
Rolled the counter over to 0 on Midnight Magic (Atari)
Finished Super Metroid at 100% in 1:42
Finished Super Mario 3 without losing a life, without warping, and fighting all hammer bros, levels, and mini-castles - I'd say that would be my best since it seems like the hardest to do.
That would playing threw Wonder Project J2 and completing all the tasks. However I never finsihed it
Auctually fighting and defeating a Shyster ranger in SMRPG.
Playing and finishing Super Mario Land without ever dying once over and over and over and over and over and over again.
playing Japanese games without the need of translations.
PLAYED PSO ON GCN COLLECTED ALL ITEMS THREW TRADE ONLY TO GET BSOD BY A JAPANESE PLAYER CALLING ME A AR USER.I did it like almost twice. Then I even went for all the rank weapons ( which I got all ) I think I had all the items in the game that was super duper rare. Only a few off the side. Thats why I do not play this game anymore WASTE OF TIME...........
I did everything you could do with a online network game and een more....................![]()
.....
I even did that thing in South Park raising levels by the tens even when my eye become weakened by the fire 3 blasts.

In Kirby Dreamland I got 999999 points and everytime Kirby makes an attack you get that 1up sound really funny.
Never got hit or died in Zelda Links Awakening to get that Marina Flying over me thingy.
For playing a game:
Beating Super Mario Bros. in 5:28 on film
Logging 400 hours into Super Smash Bros. for one character![]()
For collecting:
Completing the NES library
I have never played any Grand Theft Auto game.
Beating Contra (NES) without ever losing a life and just beating Ninja Gaiden, lol.
I flipped the score on Atari 2600 Defender when I was nine or ten. It was on one of the easier difficulty settings, but it took a long time and I thought it was cool at the time. I've always sucked at the arcade Defender.
This may not seem like much, but beating Crazy Taxi 2's final challenge is a major accomplishment for me. You have to drop off 30 customers to any destination on the Small Apple course. You get to choose the route. What makes this extremely hard is the fact that they only give you 5-6 minutes to do this, and, if you don't plan your route ahead of time, you'll end up failing the mission. Add to the fact that the course is curvy, twisty, and packed with traffic (not to mention the arrow sometimes messes up), and this makes it one of the hardest challenges in Crazy Taxi. Passing this lets you have the ability to use the Crazy Taxi 1 drivers on any course, which is a great bonus for having to sit through this insanely hard challenge.
-Getting all of the characters on Super Smash Bros. Melee on the first day I got the game.
-Finally beating Sonic 2's final boss normally, without cheats. (I finally figured out his pattern and I easily beat it.)
Maybe if you played it you would. Or maybe you wouldn't. We'll never know unless you play it.Originally Posted by PentiumMMX
Speaking of R-Type, I started playing R-Type III a couple weeks ago and it took me about 3 hours of solid play before I managed to beat the first level. I guess I'll call that my most amazing game accomplishment since I cna't think of anything better. It is pretty amazing, you have to admit.Originally Posted by diskoboy
