Rip off. That isn't worth $1,000. It should have stoped around $300. But some people have more money then any sense.

The high bidders, myself included, are very experienced with NES items and clearly felt the price was right. How else would you explain the big names that bid. twinturbo-mike, raritygamesinc, and mt3ch are all sellers of factory sealed games and would likely piece that lot out (maybe adding some to their own collections). I expect sold individually, they would clear $1500 .. maybe more with the holiday push.

One more thing, green is not a good color to post in and I'm not the first to say it.

well, I think that sealed games right now are a ripoff in general, but really I don't think this is a bad deal from the current ebay prices perspective. Didn't we see Castlevania I, II and III go for like 600 bucks about a month ago? And this lot includes two of the three.

On top of that are games like super C which would probably top 100 bucks all on its own, so I think the guy who won would probably make money by splitting this up and reselling it, and so as far as that goes he didn't get ripped off.
Still a gamer, still a liberal.

Personally, I think when all the games in a series are included in the same condition like that, it heightens the value because it gives someone the opportunity to have the complete set right off. That's a good reason why they went 600+

I'd say the best game in that lot is Gradius.

No where did he say they were sealed. It just says "Case fresh" which could mean anything.

Well ... apart from in the auction title, where he says they are 'Factory Sealed'.

Damn i would never pay that much for a bunch of very common games, only adv.island 3 and dracula's curse (cv3) are interesting to me.The rest not worthy imo.

AH, now that's crazy talk. Back in the 80's when most were released it would cost you more. Only $300?? You obviously know nothing about sealed game prices. That's ok though. Really though, some of those games can easily fetch $100+.
$1200 is probably a pretty good deal. You could easily get your money back selling them seperate. EASILY.

just under 50 bucks a game... not bad at all. Looks like Sealed NES games held up on their value from when they were sold... that is unless you bought some that were 79.99 or whatever.

Honestly though... do you think you could resell each of those games at 50 bucks a pop? or some for over 50 since i know a lot of those wouldn't even come close to it?

Totally. Gradius and dk classics are the prize games. Easily worth the 1250 to the right buyer. But nobody wants to shill out that much money at once. I don't know why people bother with these combined lots; you're always going to get a crappy price.

And let's face it, that high bidder is obviously the seller doing a backdoor reserve through a shill. IMO.

EXACLTY. THe people usually a fast amount of cash, or don't feel like selling the games in single auctions. I don't get that though? (Let's see, I don't want to make more money) :/

This was definatley a great lot. As I am a huge collector of sealed games. And went for a good price. Sorry you didn't win it.
And the other bidders would have definately filled the holes in their collections and then resold the rest.

Me too ... and he hasn't relisted it yet. I considered e-mailing him, but doubt it is worth the time and energy or likely one of the others already has.

I'll tell you what I think the problem here is. If you remember a while back mt3ch had that 192 sealed game lot up. If you recall, he had an enormous reserve on it; our speculation at the time was that it was free advertising to sell off the lots piecemeal. Shortly after that auction silversigz bought all or most of these games from mt3ch at high (but not astronomical) prices. I recall seeing special buy it now auctions created just for silversigz, maybe 5 or 6 six of them at about 500 a pop (I think it was 470 each; whatever). So I think our man silversigz has at least 2k wrapped up in those games, he's not going to let them go for 1250. Which is why I think that the winning bid was a shill. (I'm not criticizing; frankly I don't blame him for not wanting to lose his shirt).

I recall seeing those too. Funny how mt3ch bid on this lot again though.
