These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
That would be a waste. The lowest price they mention selling it for is $39. Is know it says 'up to', but seriously.
Why not just go buy an N64 for like $20 at a local gamestore? I'm sure they've got plenty of them.
Conserving space, I would be more than happy to pay double the price of an N64 for one... I would pay up to $50 for it.

I totally agree. Some game stores are giving them away free when you buy a certain amount of 64 games. Nintendo should be more worried about the next console and making that backwards compatible with GC. Why do they always do things like this and the E-reader, and never follow through completely. NOA always starts something cool then falls back into the pokemon safety net and that leaves most of us nintendo nuts wishing we lived in japan.Originally Posted by Oobgarm

I'd buy it. I'm not a Nintendo collector, so that would be one less system taking up space in my house.
I back up that statement 100%...Nintendo can't stick with an idea if the world depended on it sadly.Originally Posted by Kilik Kurosawa

eh...waste of money, but i could see throwing a cart slot into the new Revolution system
I would buy one if it let me play Japanese N64 carts, for sure :D
Definitely. I'd pay $40-50 to be able to play N64 games with readily available Gamecube controllers. Though the C-button issue might take some work. Hopefully they'd allow the buttons to be totally configurable.Originally Posted by thegreatescape

Most N64 owners never got to see the games in this output format. Now is the chance!
I didn't have any trouble playing Ocarina of Time or MM on the Zelda Collector's disc. Actually i found the C knob to be easier to use than the orginal buttons imo.Originally Posted by davidbrit2

What about games like Dk 64, MM, Perfect Dark, StarCraft, etc? Expansion pack issues?
Easy, just put the extra 4MB of RAM in there...but you know that Nintendo wouldn't do that off the bat... >_<
If you could enhance the graphics Like the PS2 did for PS1 games, then hell yeah.

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
I'd say, it should be built in already, get rid of the middle man jumper pakOriginally Posted by Achika
Because if it cost $39...think about it....Price of N64 is $20...Expansion pak is near $20 as well....so it evens out I think

me like! backward compatible good! too many systems! saves space! less wire!
...in a nutshell
NEW ENGLAND CLASSIC GAMING-NEXT TRADEMEET pretty soon... IN BOSTON
The next question I would have is: will the tristar converter work with it? Unfortunately, since it's not a nintendo product, there's no gurantee at all, and it may look goofy as heck, but the idea of being able to play any nintendo game from the NES to the gamecube on one system is very nice
edit: I voted yes, 49
I voted "interested - $39" but it might be safe to assume this will be something that hooks up to the same expansion port that the GB Player does.... :/
i said yes..up to $39....but, if it did come out id probably spend more on it
