the guides says the box is very hard to find, but is it worth a $75 markup? the game is supposed to be worth $25 loose.

Well, considering lately we've seen loose copies go for $60 or so, I'd say that's not a horrible deal. Well, Ebay-wise that is.
You need to consider that the guide's prices are very conservative as well. But that said, I sold a Final Fight Guy empty box about a month ago and only got $12.00 for it. I think that the seller is hoping to get a bit lucky with that $100 asking price. But who know, it's holiday season.
Is it just me or is that box Japanease? Wouldn't the hard to get one be American? Or am I just dumb and it is supposed to be that way?
It does say Blockbuster exclusive right on the box...and no, it's not a sticker.
As for why...well, Blockbuster probably wanted to go with the "OMG KEWL" factor of having Japanese text on the box, and it's also likely they didn't have resources to do a total overhaul of it.
Eh, get the Japanese version with the CD (SNES *or* x68000).
Heh, that's wierd. Never seen a game like that before.Originally Posted by drummy
The Japanese box is actually different, I've seen it at Dave's (which is amazing by the way) shop.
Kind of weird now that I think about it.
Very similar, mostly the layout's different and I think the Japanese text in the corner is different...there appears to be less, anyways. Just glanced at both, though.
Wow, something else that I have that I had no idea was worth that much. I picked one of these up, complete, from a Blockbuster for like $5 a few years back. Money well spent I suppose.

damn man, i used to have a copy back before i considered myself a collector. i got it for like $15 or something complete. i don't even remember what i did with it, but i really wished i had kept it
The guy ended his auction early and somebody paid prob more than was asked. You aren't going to find it sealed so with a box and complete it has good value

I got a loose cart for $7.00 at EB last year.
I sold my complete copy for $50 BIN, and then I got burned through a fraudulent PayPal transaction. Go figure.
I sold a loose copy for 102 USD and the guy paid.
