    Default 7800 Joystick replacement idea

I'd like to play my 7800 games with the controllers from the new Atari Flashback system. I have two questions:

    1) Is the Flashback controller compatible?

    2) If it's not, is anyone with technical knowledge interested in figuring out a modification?

Okay, I finally got a Flashback 1 system ($10 at Target), and now own 2 of these mini-7800 joysticks. They actually feel pretty good in my hands, but the game emulation is so poor on pretty much every game that the controls are somewhat inaccurate. (I wasn't expecting much after reading a review or two, but this is quite pitiful.)

Now has anyone tried to mod their Flashback joysticks to use them on an NES or 7800?

From what I've read on various classic game forums the joysticks are basically NES controllers on the inside wired up to a 9 pin connector (like a 2600 or 7800 connector). I suppose it wouldn't be all that hard to wire this up to an NES wire with connector-- Then again. . .

I basically am wondering if anyone has experimented around with these Flashback joysticks. . . anyone?

    Steve
